I’m carrying my design, the soon to be released Blackwater Knife Co Snook fixed blade and the RoseCraft Blades Otter Creek Barlow. Looks like a slicey little fat belly chonk. Good stuff as always, Gruggs!
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery I ended up finding the EF130. Looks like it'll fit better where I plan on placing it on my plate carrier. Had to buy that which will likely live on my plate carrier and couldn't pass up this purty knife either... lol
RHF pocket Cold Steel Black Talon serrated with Emerson grip. LH waistband CRKT OBake with lanyard hooked on belt loop for quick draw deployment. I bought some Odenwolf fixed blades 2 flat grinds and 2 scandi grinds. At the time they were just breaking into the market and were a great price, I think about $21.00. I wanted some knives to keep in various bags that I wouldn’t miss if they got stolen out of my car. I figured that I could switch them out with my other premium knives when I had to use the bag and was in control them. I wasn’t expecting much for the price. When they arrived I was surprised to find out that they were decent quality but most importantly to me, razor sharp. I decided to keep them in my bags and found no reason to switch them out. The Odenwolf knives that I bought, have no model names, if interested. They are just called , full tang knife with scandi or, flat grind survival knives. Overall length 9.5” blade length 4.6” D2 steel. they jump up and down in price. At the time of this comment 8/4/24 they started at $28.97 and up depending on color and grind on Amazon. They have a lot of models from serious tactical to bushcraft. Thx for the vid and great demo. The 893ll
Bought one after video. For self defense in home, here in Europe we ususally dont have firearms, the license for a gun for example is very dificult to obtain. So we need this kind of persuasive objets... Thanks for the video
@LegionTacticoolCutlery Thank you, you reassured my general choice. I just don't know if I should go for the "Cruiser Drop Point" or the (more recent?) "Pacific Ocean'". Do you have any idea or recommendation?
Gruggs, I emailed LionSteel and asked them what angle they sharpened the KC-01, B40 and T5. Here's the text from the email reply. Ciao Robert, nice to meet you! You can consider about 15 - 17 degrees each side of the edge ok? So a total angle of about 30-34 degrees. I hope i was helpful! All the best
it pisses me off that they didn't sharpen the edge properly for working with firestarter, I'll have to modify it. Apart from this minor flaw, it's a great knife
I actually saw this on Amazon a few weeks ago and put the green handle version in my "saved for later" section. I like that it's Aus-10. Aus-10 is a definite improvement over the Aus-8.
Hi and thanks for this nice review ! I have both EF 131 in DC 53 and this lovely EF 139 in 154 CM. But when I look at them side by side and even when sharpening on stone, I can’t see any difference between the two steels. How can I be sure that the EF 139 is really made with stainless 154 CM steel ?
Thanks for your answer. But it will be eafengrow’s answer. I would have preferred your opinion after you tested some of their knives in DC 53 and this EF 139 which is said to have been made in 154 CM steel. Did you notice any difference ? Do you think this is real 154 CM ? Thanks for your complete videos, i will keep on looking your reviews. Good job !
I like the DC53 steel because I have done quite a bit of testing on it and many blades. It just works well. The 154cm as you can see did well also. But DC53 is excellent. I didn't notice any difference to be honest. Each Eafengrow I have tested is worth its weight in gold. Thanks for the kind words.
Leatherman Wave+ on the belt, Zero Tolerance 0452CF in the pocket. DLT Exclussive White River Ursus 45 in 3V on my A-to-B Bag, a Mystery Ranch 2DA Pack I never leave home without. I've also been integrating a Becker BK 18 into my kit, but don't have it on me now because my wife had a dr appointment earlier this afternoon and they tend to frown on fixed bladed knives hanging off the belt in dr offices.
