Hi joe, I May Go to work to mission, I am single, my question is: how is the cost of living there? Apartment, food, bus ticket? Can you make a video talking about it? Greetings and thanks for you attention.
Depends what you are comparing to? What city are you comparing it to? The cost of living anywhere in the Fraser valley is high, you can rent a 1 bed apartment for 1400-1700 , transportation is the same price almost everywhere in the valley
@@joeprataprealtor look, I am from México 🇲🇽 and I'm starting the process of Go to Canada to work, I wanna Go to live canada for a long time, Mission would be the first contact wih any kind of life there in Canada, so, before to Travel I am studying options ( I mean different Provinces) so I thank any kind of info you Could give me, greetings from México 🇲🇽
Hey Joe . You talked about rapid transit . Mission has the west coast express train . It runs 5 days per week and take people from mission maple ridge Pitt meadows and onward to Vancouver . Maybe worth noting
It's the best we currently have that's for sure. Although not even close to being advanced like the sky train is. Takes my son and I approximately 1 hour to get to Vancouver and to drive 1 hour 10 usually , but nonetheless it's an option. Thanks for the message have a great weekend
@@joeprataprealtor iwest coast express top speed is 70 mph( if it were a sky train it would take 2 hours ) and you can read the paper eat breakfast and save time in a much more sanitary environment than the sky train . West coast express passengers are all working professionals. I have to disagree unless you enjoy being in grid locked traffic and paying a bot load of cash for gas and parking. All I’m saying is it’s huge asset to mission that the people that have figured out never go back to driving . As a real estate agent it could be a huge selling point for potential buyers in Mission. Have you heard it’s also being included in the “transit hub” zoning . There are plans for condos coming all close to the Station. Thanks for getting back to me
@@versymangdewww8456 Sounds great , maybe I should hop on it with the kids next time we head to science world. Thank you for your suggestions. Have a great day
Thanks for the message Patricia. Funny the last 4 homes built here all have a similar look . One right before it had more traditional slope . Have a good day thx for the watch
Some of the units will have a bit of yard , for example the duplex style ones on the outside have a fenced grass yard off kitchen . Some of the inside units which are completing end of next month do not , there is also a decent amount of park and green space being constructed as the phases continue. If you message or text me 6049920616 I can try and send some of the designs outlining the current and next phase
I'm thinking of relocating to Abbotsford. I can't take living in Metro Vancouver anymore and am looking for a quieter place that still has city amenities.
The cost of living in the province is high. But if you are breaking down certain areas or cities , the cost of food will be similar city to city here, gas is cheaper in Abbotsford as its outside the greater Vancouver area and there is no translink tax fixed in, cost of housing is 10-15% below areas like surrey and 20% below areas like Vancouver
Thanks for the message James. And thanks for the watch. Not sure I agree on over rated, but it’s definitely not affordable. I haven’t lived there before , visit many times. Sea wall is beautiful, where do you live?
I wish , Currently you have 2 options drive to mission 15 mins and hop on west coast express Train and transfer to sky train in Vancouver, or drive into surrey king George and hop on sky train . Langley will have skytrain within the next decade which will shave 20 mins of driving , but not Abbotsford
It is mostly detached Yes. There are Townhomes (attached) at the base of the Mountain starting at low 700s as of today (resale) currently There are homes priced from 1.65-2.4 . All very nice. Neighbouring communities on the north east side not in eagle mountain but 1-2 minutes away start around 1.150 right now for detached.
Would be really tough decision. If you are studying at UFV then absolutely Abbotsford is the better choice. There is housing options close to UFV available. But if your studying in surrey the commute regularly might make more sense to be in surrey or Langley
@@joeprataprealtori will come to canada in 2024 my college is WCC main campus in surrey but also branch in abbotsford. Can i live in abbotsford there are in part time job?
Point #1. There are portables classrooms at schools in Mission, mainly Albert McMahon and Mission Secondary. Point #3 Mission has the West Coast Express that leaves Mission every morning and returns every evening. It takes commuters to Downtown Vancouver and stations in between. Mission should be a destination for vacationers. The countryside in and around Mission is beautiful with tons of outdoor activities, clean lakes and trails galore
hello sir im planning to move to Abbotsford in the month of december 2023, can I know if we can find rental options or is it generally hard to find rental accommodation there?
Hey Anne vacancy is below 2% so it’s definitely tough, start looking soon. If you need help I don’t do rentals myself but there is someone at the office I can introduce you to who could help
Thanks for your message and checking out the video nils the home inspector. These days I mostly snowboard , take the kids up skiing. Takes 1 hour and 5 mins exactly to get to Mount Baker. Beautiful skiing and a great time. I hope you try it some time it’s great fun. Also the Mexican restaurant you drive by El Nopal is amazing. Often Drive over sumas border with friends just to go there. So good.
Sure can. Abbotsford is very well known for Blueberry farms, as well as caddle and chicken. Accommodations for workers are pretty tight just like rentals are but if your meaning staying on site. Most major farms have buses that run from different parts of the city and neighbouring cities privately.
Thanks for your message. Chilliwack is a different city this video is about Abbotsford. But traffic on Vedder in Chilliwack is not that bad now with the under pass now east of the new mall.
@@joeprataprealtor Oops. I was watching one real estate video after another and got mixed up. I actually live in East Abbotsford. It's such a nice area.
Thanks for your message. I think really depends on what you are comparing. For example the school system in Abbotsford is top notch and Most the kids they teach for example can spell “ Kind of” at grade 3/4 . Vancouver is beautiful of course. Best wishes
I think you are likely seeing that in Every City. Humans are creatures of their own habbits. Personally, from living in 4 cities in lower mainland I feel the Abby Pd actually do a very good job enforcing vehicle safety compared to other areas. Thank you for the message and watch.
Thanks for all about Abbotsford, my family and I are moving to East Abbotsford , next month July first week, 2023 , Moving from Edmonton, AB , Worries about my kids school , and transportation.
www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/Canada/wettest-cities.php Hmm does not look like by much. Although growing up in the valley I actually thought it was the opposite. Good question. Thanks for the message.
@@joeprataprealtor maybe we didn't pay much attention to weather when we were young. But as we grow older, it starts to take its toll on our mental health...
