My name is David. I’m a home cook in Brooklyn, NY. I really enjoy cooking for family and friends and I want to share some of my culinary experience with you!
I have a bunch of sunchoke plants Im trying to get rid of bc theyre so invasive, but will try this chip recipe during my next and hopefully last harvest.
@@TheCooklynChannel that's a great idea. I'll do that for you, but I just got my hands on 4 full grocery bags of wild mushrooms!!!! So uh... I'll send you that too but we'll probably be having that tomorrow! I got a lot of prep to do. Just made a huge batch of French onion soup too....love abundance in the garden, and knowing how to use it! I planted about a billion little onion roots too, because they grow delicious chives, and will eventually go to seed if you don't cut them. When I make that sauce I'll be roasting off those tomatoes, because every time I do I have to fight myself not to eat them straight off the pan
@@TheCooklynChannel I am sorry I didn't even take pics, that was so many mushrooms they took forever to prepare!! Been enjoying mushroom swiss burgers, and Salisbury steak. I ended up adding some french onion soup to my Salisbury steak mushroom gravy.....woooo! Chef's kiss! I ended up having shitake and oyster mushrooms I there
I really believe that we eat with our eyes first. We can absolutely eat lovely dishes at home and not wait until we go out to a fine dining restaurant!
One of the things I've learned about Caribbean cooking is that you say it the inverse of what we say in the us. It's shrimp Curry here but in the Caribbean it's curry shrimp
Believe it or not it is a hotly contested topic in the Caribbean diaspora! Much like rice & peas vs peas & rice!! lol. They all taste great, and THAT we can all agree on!!!
