I was a meteorologist, while still attending University, at the local PBS station. I had access to the weather data from the Army, just across the road, back when it was the best available. Watching the entire discipline expand, over the decades, has been both exciting and saddening, since I "fell out" of the field, before 1980. With the Death of Channel 46 as a PBS station, I consider that part of my life now, just history, best left forgotten. Still, my physics degree, and a continued interest in meteorology, has given me much in the way of interest, over the years. I think I'll continue to comb the various information outlets, and build my own forecasts, just to see if I can outperform the general "herd" on what is going to transpire.
