Some constructive criticism. From a place after care and experience. So, I can't help but notice the needless spins. Not an anime fight. You never want to turn your back the the enemy. Focus on doubles and stuff. Will build accuracy, timing, and make your body react faster than your mind, which will be crucial if you ever end up blade to blade in a duel. Again. Not trying g to sound like a know it all amd it Somes from a standpoint of care for a fellow swordsman.
Nice. But be careful. Always keep your thung on the tsuba before you draw the blade doing that. Cut my palm/start of my fingers something fierce a few years back.
I learned that many years ago haha always hold the hand guard until you draw the blade to avoid any accidents, never cut my hand but I've had the blade fall out of my sheath.
@@shadowmannetworkmy first sword was loose as hell and i destroyed my hand taught me a lot lol i wear leather gloves now especially working with nodachi
Not every cut you make against an opponent will be a clean, as a matter of fact if your opponent has any skill at all most cuts will be shallow or grazing until they lose enough blood to make the final blow.
Hell yeah haha I want to make cuts from all angles. I'll eventually have 10 targets around me at various heights and distances to work on targeting and movement.
Agreed its cool and takes prescision. If your opponent is skilled and has a clear mind though they will see the begining of the spin thsts about to happem telegraphic, all you would have to do if you were the jug is duck or rooftop block the first cut and either got him in the back at about 180⁰ with katana if you ducked, or if blocked or deflected, pull wakizashi and get him stumbling to stop the spin after the block/deflect. Thats why doubles, triples, and quads, and God willing, quints are important. Teaches quick reaction to unpredictable targets. Never the same way twice. Exactly what you need in a duel.
@@erichusayn agreed, spins are too flashy to be practical but boy are they fun to do if you can keep you footing. It takes good footwork to even pull off a spin cut appropriately.
nice! I was messing around with multiple stands today too. I like the concept of cut, then cut a double right after. I was doing more of a true edge, false edge. rising cut, descending cut, horizontal cut, descending cut. thing lol good times 🤘💀
