1:50: We are Geelong, the greatest team of all We are Geelong; we’re always on the ball We play the game as it should be played At home or far away Our banners fly high, from dawn to dark Down at Kardinia Park
In an episode of "Little House on the Prairie", this piece was used as the love theme! It's funny, there were different variations of it played throughout the episode. I can't remember the name of the episode though
"Oh great heavens, was that the incredibly powerful crunch of 1887?" -Sir Markus von Plier (whilst using the electronic game known as "Five evenings spent with Frederick Fitzgerald, Earl of Fazbearington")
David Brent is the one of the best analogies of one of those blokes down the pub who no one particularly really wants to spend time with, even though he's not a bad person. You just don't really want to spend time with him, as he basically just tries too hard
The uk actors really understand the whole point of the show and it’s clear from how they describe it. The american actors just like the nostalgia and talking about how fun it was to film certain scenes, but there wasn’t really a specific thing the american show was building towards- it was just about running as many seasons as possible until the fans finally said no this isn’t even watchable anymore, then it was canceled
The Marriage of Figaro is my favorite opera. It's a comedy and no one dies. I've played this overture a bunch of times over the course of my playing career. I'm a timpanist myself and that A sounds flat.
Since I watched the movie, Amadeus, back in 1984, I was in love with this guys music. I mostly listen to Beethoven, but I still have that appreciation for his genius. If you wanna sit back and chill, then you gotta go with Mozart all the way. When you wanna rock it out, it’s Beethoven time two great geniuses.
