If you want to mitigate the problem of hate drafting (i.e. picking cards that an opponent would need) you can just draft with the cards face down. This is then called Winston Draft (google for more information). It takes longer but every player at most knows 2/3s of their opponents cards - if they have a good memory.
And this is why I don't really want to get into casual magic now. I hope everyone's having fun, but man it's absurd even moreso than when I started in Onslaught.
I know it’s not everyone’s jam and I get it but, I really like seeing people get to play with cards of characters/events that they’re passionate about not just the mtg characters.
Wotc is going down the drain for doing crossovers. No newbie wants to play a game that only has one set of what they’re looking for. Wotc has been systematically destroying themselves ever since they started with walking dead. Stop giving your money to a company that’s literally trash now.
@skillganon606 the sheer number, the directly printed into modern premium sets, I only play standard and pioneer now due to it. If one is printed into standard, im quitting the whole game, im putting my money where my mouth is

Honestly the whole ip being horribly confusing is kinda dumb to me, like it’s all fantasy anyway does it really matter if the cards you play have a name like zorlok vs Vader?
It's pretty sad that people don't see this as good as enjoyable. I guess we can only be children when it's time to whine but not when it's time to smash your action figured of different IPs together.
This. Honestly I love universes beyond, I get people not wanting it in competitive formats but in casual commander everyone should just be allowed to have fun and realize how silly and fun it is when dogmeat sneaks the one ring past Rick Grimes and the doctor to win the game
As I have dark magician and dark magician girl, you can only cast one spell a turn or have one creature enter the battlefield Due to wing kiribo I bounce all non magician at my end step
@@skillganon606 I’ve played casual and competitive Yugioh. Casual, competitive and tournament MTG. Hit legend every time I’ve gone for it in hearthstone. That doesn’t change the fact that the video is poorly made.
So glad ive gotten out of the TCG community its nothing but a money pit anymore. Magic has gone too far from its roots in the name of being profitable and Pokémon cards might as well be almost $10 for a ten card booster pack
