You should do a video on break barrel rifles. I have a Gamo and a Crossman nitro piston both in. 177 and they both shoot consistently around 1k fps and seem like they would be impressively accurate if the triggers weren't the worst ever used on anything. I mean they are freaking horrible. Is there some kind of trigger job or upgrade that can be done to these type of rifles?
I might get some hate for saying this but springers are caveman guns. They are crude and primitive. That trigger of yours? Oh yeah - that thing interfaces a sear that holds the entire spring piston in place until fired. That is why the trigger sucks. There is some polishing that could potentially be done but this is sort of the nature of the beast with springers. I only have that one break barrel (other than the Czechoslovakian plinker in my closet since I was 10) and I do not intend on getting any more. I initially got the Gamo 2 years ago to do a meme video mocking it but it just wasn't even worth the effort. That gun sucks. Lmao.

Very good service video. This is a three stage compressor, the compression stroke is stages 1 and 3, the piston moving down compressses air behind the piston, the V shaped copper tube moves 2nd stage air to the 3rd. It is excess grease from the lower shaft seal which migrates into the high pressure side that causes the dirt that jams valves. I have run silicone oil through the compressor, one drop at a time over 5 minutes of running, to clean valves. It takes about 5 ml of silicone oil to clear all debris. I wrap a paper towel over the outlet to catch the dirty oil. This completely restores like new function. Great idea on the hour meter. A 12 volt hour meter wired parallel to the motor should also work.
Lol. That will never happen and even if you could.... why? Breaking the sound barrier = bad for many reasons. The MA2 is a pellet gun. You're gonna get the best performance from pellets in the 800-950fps range. If you want to shoot 1200fps just buy a .22LR or a 9mm PCC. The MA2 is a great pellet shooter!

Oh! So it's normal for the pump to stay up after stroking. I mean, the black part you lift with the handle (yes I'm new haha!), once you're done pumping, remains a couple inches, perhaps a wee bit over an inch and half above the base, exposing the silver tube it rides around. Was the detail I was looking for, nobody mentioned it in any of the vids I watched, and was worried about my pump being defective. Just assembled it, now it's time to find where some tiny leak is, and voilá! Then wait for a nice day... haha! Anyway, thanks a lot for the vid mate, have a great one!
The fact that this thing registers pellet weight in GRAMS and not GRAIN, dismisses it for me. NO pellet manufacturer uses GRAMS as a unit of measure...so why would this company use grams as a unit of measure? Also, not everyone has or uses 1/2-20 threads on their barrel or has the ability to mount this thing.
It took you so much work to get that turd of a rifle to shoot right. They should redesign it or drop it from their line. Definitely not in katran territory. Those are laser beams.
All it took was for Airmaks to drop the badly designed original regs and start using Humas. The gun had good "bones" the whole time - but it was like running a Ferrari with a lawnmower engine with those old pull regs. This Krait shoots absolutely cash money
I did but I don't really like them. Not as accurate as lead and I think since they are harder they might wear your barrel down faster (although I am not a metallurgist)
if you polish the barrel with jb bore paste and then flitz you will see the fliers and groups all tighten up or from my snowpeak experiance it has helped on all of mine
just so people know the gun is manufactured by snowpeak and they make very good pcps for the money i have a snowpeak p35 which is the stoeger xm1 bullshark that will outshoot my fx maverick and my daystate revere out to 90 yds because i dont have 100 yds
I’m always curious and want someone to use the lightest ammo and have one of these tuned all the way up and see what kind of fps you get. Like would it be 1500ish?
I did that one time with like a 17gr slug and it shot out at 1400+. Super loud (breaks sound barrier) and you'd never be accurate like that... which is why nobody does it.
it uses break beam eyes like a paintball gun. I imagine the lead dust will never stay on the eyes since its getting blasted off every shot. Time will tell

Excellent video. Tons of good information! I have the same unit. Mine is from Vevor. They are sold under a few different names, but they are the same thing. I added the 3 year coverage. It came out to a little over $200 on Amazon. A real bargain, I think! If you are going to buy any of these PCP compressors, always get that extra coverage! It's worth it! I agree with you. The little water/oil separator filter it comes with is really marginal. For a few bucks add that secondary water/oil separator filter. You will be glad you did. This absolutely beats handpumping your PCP any day of the week!! A great little compressor for not a lot of $!
@@airshootist heavily considering this platform for a family member to take the place of their current setup. Trying to find a video on the scout version, get a idea of what they'd lose as far as fps or shot count.
Thanks for showing the install brother. I'm new to this whole pcp shooting and because of your video I now know the pellet/slug port isn't attached to the liner, but rather the liner is inserted into the port. Two things, both have been said before in the comments. Epoxy the sleeve to the liner will definitely stiffen up the liner even more and before removing the liner one should mark/index it so you don't change your POI, like you saw when shooting the second group. The best index for the liner is where the impacts are above your POI.
@airshootist how many shots could a 300 bar fill put on top of the 18 shots? I'm looking to get me that same set up or very similar, 700mm is just to long for what I wanna use it.

It has to be that 8 milly weight well a combination of all 3 because like you I couldn’t get past 960 shooting 34gr zans with my panthera 600 .22 even with huma transfer port and pin prob I think I’ll put the hammer weight in thanks for the upload on this
Hi, I was looking at the FX impact Mk3 and the Crown mk2 25 caliber but I noticed one advantage of the impact is that at 25 caliber it had about 90 FPE while the Crown Mark II had about 60 FPE. My interest is long range shooting and experimenting with penetration and accuracy of course. I prefer the look in the feel of the crown but an additional 30 FPE on the Impact is a big advantage for me. Any idea why there's such a difference?
