The image shows an in-car infotainment system with an error screen that resembles a memory card or software loading icon. This often happens when the system is trying to read data from an SD card or is attempting a firmware update. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue: ### 1. **Restart the System** - Turn off the car completely, wait for a minute, and then restart it. This can sometimes reset the system. ### 2. **Check the SD Card** - If your system uses an SD card, ensure it is properly inserted. Remove the card and reinsert it to make sure it’s seated correctly. - Inspect the SD card for any physical damage, and try cleaning its contacts. ### 3. **Reinsert or Replace the SD Card** - If the SD card is damaged or corrupted, it may need to be replaced. Use a compatible SD card with the correct map data or system software. ### 4. **Check for Firmware Updates** - Visit your vehicle manufacturer’s website or contact your dealer to see if there are firmware updates available for your infotainment system. Updates often resolve software bugs. ### 5. **Perform a Factory Reset** - If possible, access the system settings and perform a factory reset. Note that this will erase all stored data, so make sure you have backups of any important information. ### 6. **Consult the User Manual** - Refer to your car’s manual for specific troubleshooting steps for the infotainment system. Some systems have unique reset sequences. If the issue persists after these steps, it may be best to contact your car dealer or a professional technician, as there could be a hardware fault with the infotainment system.
For anyone scrolling thru the comments, I just got a pioneer stereo for $350, radio interface for $75 and a Dash cover for $25 and now have CarPlay.. so as unfortunate as the circumstance may be, just upgrade to a new stereo you’ll be 5x happier. I also installed it myself and got to avoid the installation fee. Highly recommend
I have the same issue 2014 Toyota Rav 4 62,000 miles.

Landed here after started to have same issue with my RAV4 year 2014. I am keen to start a class action as this is not something Toyota should get along with.
Same thing happened to mine a week ago. Went to the dealership and they are saying they can’t do anything about it and it’s $10,000 to get a new one. May as well get a new car!
2011 Yaris here. Had to have spark plugs and a coil unit replaced. Since then sat nav has been flashing and I think just before it shuts down I see a battery symbol. My question…is there a battery problem now or a sat nav issue ? No dashboard indication of battery problem.
I havent had mine a yr yet and it did this to mine just other day and i didnt ask for a update or agree to it so yea how is it our fault but plz if anyone has figured how to fix plz let everyone kno and it does look like we do need to start a lawsuit bc it is a danger
There was a solution further down in the comments that worked for me as well yesterday (6/15/23) on a 2014 rav4. With your key in the “on position”(two clicks not started). Remove the SD card for the navigation. Then put it back in. I had to pop off the bottom right button on the radio to get to the card. Pushed on it, and it released to be pulled out. Then slid it back in. I can’t find the original now to give credit, but all credit to that person. I didn’t figure this out.
@@JS-rb5kn yea i tried it with the car powered on, not running. The loading screen was showing, took out the sd card and nothing happened. Put the sd card back in and the screen still was showing. So idk...but I appreciate the help and glad it worked for you
Yes. I do have the same issue. The dealer said that they will charge $250 for the diagnosis and then charge $100 for every hour they spend to fix the problem which is an absolute nonsense as there is no way the user/ customer at fault rather the manufacturer's defect.
I have the same problem I took my car to have it service on the processed they clean my battery I paid for my service got on car the radio don’t work no more
This Just Happened to me 2 hours ago today is March 15th 2023 on my 2015 Toyota Corolla S, nothing Works anymore, No Radio's No Phone or Bluetooth, No Navigation The only thing that works is the Backup Camera. This is Insane
Just happened to me while driving home from work! My radio, navigation, charger plug! Screen went blank then looked like it was resetting but nothing, just like this video! I was hoping there was a solution but by the looks of these comments, it doesn’t look good. Disappointed with Toyota. Like many of you, I bought my Toyota because it was a Toyota. If anyone has found a solution, please do share. Thank you.
I also have this problem on my 2013 Toyota Hilux. I remember watching a video from Legand Mechanic Scotty Kilmer. I think he suggested disconnecting the battery earth terminal first then disconnecting the positive terminal. Leave disconnected for a certain amount of time to drain residule power then reconnect. Will it work ? I didn't do this as I had a couple of mobile speakers that I use in the car and listen to podcasts and yt when driving. I'll try find the Scotty video. I found it but he doesn't mention anything about it fixing radios. I should mention that he has heaps of videos on Toyota's as he loves them and gives great tips. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F6pMlbNW7-E.html
This happened on my 2019, and the dealer wanted to sell me a new system for $6000 plus tax and labor. I'm going to try the reset and pray it comes back because I'm 1400 outside of my extended warranty. CRAZY!
I found a local repair shop who did the repair in 24 hours. Involved replacement of main system board. According to them, the original units were not properly soldered. Repair costs about $509. If I list the vendor, it gets deleted. But, you might try calling Maryann if you can see the embedded number too won for wive haven wive wive sex tree wive.
My 2013 auris has the same issue. Disconnecting the power cable to the gps unit brought back my bluetooth, since the main unit has bluetooth too. But gps is gone...
I by no means know anything about cars except where to put gas, however I found a "possible fix". A couple of people on Reddit posted that you have to unplug the car battery and zip tie the two wires together (positive and negative wires) for at least 10 minutes. Then plug the battery back in and it should work. I have not tried this because wouldn't you get shocked???!!! Try at your own risk... I don't know what to do.
IM LITERALLY in the same situation. My GPS. just resets n resets. Just finished watching this guy's testimony and it just looks like the most frustrating situation. A problem that's not ours but a factory defect. N I was starting to love camry in my 2014 se..☹️
