EVERYBODY NEEDS TO CALL AND REPORT THIS AS A SAFTEY ISSUE. IT'S SO BRIGHT AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING THAT IT IS A DANGER AND CAN CAUSE US TO WRECK. MY NEXT STEP IS LAWSUIT!!
Same thing is going on with my 2014 Rav4. Toyota says the only thing they can do is log this case but they said not enough people have complained to create a recall. Please, please call your dealer and create a case and hopefully Toyota will rise to the occasion. I have never had anything but Toyota, but now I wouldn't recommend Toyota to anyone. They are not standing by their name and they don't seem to care.
This just happened to my 2015 RAV4 Limited. Only 1 owner before me bought it 2016. This I find as a safety hazard for the times we live in. It’s 2022 not 1990.
I have exactly the same problem with my Toyota Camry 2015. My husband to it to the dealer and they told him we need to pay 1500 to get it fix. Thank you for sharing this video. 💯 agreed.this is not customer issue.
Yes. I do have the same issue. The dealer said that they will charge $250 for the diagnosis and then charge $100 for every hour they spend to fix the problem which is an absolute nonsense as there is no way the user/ customer at fault rather the manufacturer's defect.
Same. 2013 Corolla. I need the Bluetooth and GPS and was quoted $900 to get fixed.I have always been a Toyota brand lover and was about to trade up. Rethinking now. I just brought it in for two recalls and now this won’t work. Let’s start putting some effort into making these cars right the first time.
May 2022 - Posting this in case it helps anyone. My wife had her 2017 Toyota RAV4 AWD at a body repair shop for about three weeks. When she picked up the car she noticed the same problem seen in the video. We thought the radio was done. We were parked with the car key in the ignition and in an "on" position. I took out the micro SD map card and put it back in. The radio booted up like normal. Has been working since. Give this a try.
@@coachjenny7773 in the bottom right of the radio in this video there is a microsd map card cover that opens up. The microsd card is in there. That is where the microsd card was for our 2017 RAV4.
I just saw another video that explained that if the rear camera works then the radio has to be replace, if it doesn’t work then it may be a ground cable problem.
This Just Happened to me 2 hours ago today is March 15th 2023 on my 2015 Toyota Corolla S, nothing Works anymore, No Radio's No Phone or Bluetooth, No Navigation The only thing that works is the Backup Camera. This is Insane
Same issue on Lexus side. 2017 Lexus NX200T f sport. I was in car audio industry in the past but I my daughter has the car in Florida. All I know it happened while my 2 kids were swapping phones on the charger. I read somewhere that is a software issue with a corrupt file. I have to wait a year so I can start working on a fix.
I have issue with my 2015 corolla, touch screen on bottom right doesn't work , obviously it happened after warranty has expired. Any tips will be appreciated
I would say that this exact problem IS A SAFETY HAZARD when driving at nite, because it is VERY distracting when the boot loop keeps repeating over and over. The system will not let you power it down, nor are you able to adjust the brightness on the unit. It was so annoying driving around like this constantly flashing at you.
I got same problem screen is black no light even it’s dead it’s Toyota hybrid I paid extra for the safety of This system but now I paid everything pink slip is with me I don’t know they are supposed to do anything or it’s over after 6 years
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Malakai Deangelo Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
2011 Yaris here. Had to have spark plugs and a coil unit replaced. Since then sat nav has been flashing and I think just before it shuts down I see a battery symbol. My question…is there a battery problem now or a sat nav issue ? No dashboard indication of battery problem.
This happened on my 2019, and the dealer wanted to sell me a new system for $6000 plus tax and labor. I'm going to try the reset and pray it comes back because I'm 1400 outside of my extended warranty. CRAZY!
I have a 2014 corolla s and about 95,000 miles and been driving it for about 4 years and the same thing just happened to mine. I'm gonna open it up and see if I can fix it myself or buy after market radio w navigation.
I thought about doing the same thing. But the aftermarket navigation systems available we're out of my price range and a replacement Toyota navigation would have just put me in the same ballpark that I was dealing with. It was a 50/50 that the navi on the replacement system would go bad as well. I ended up just buying a $100 replacement radio without navigation off eBay. If you found a solution to your problem please let us know
Same issue with a 2014 RAV4 XLE. No fix, just a replacement. This is my GF's vehicle. Was seriously considering buying a new 4Runner (2022). I'll take my $50K elsewhere.
Same problem with my RAV 2014 . Navigation, phone & radio is not working. My husband took it to Toyota dealership and was told they'll change it for $1200.
I have the exact same problem with my 2015 Camry SE. Based on my limited understanding, the infotainment computer failed to reboot for an unknown reason. I didn't go down deeper into software/operating system issues. What I did was by replacing the computer that is located right behind the screen. If you are tech-savvy and willing to take a risk, you can do it by yourself. If not, let somebody (technician) do it for you. I did it by myself and save myself from handing out $1300-$1500 to the Toyota dealership.
@@nabeelwadwani4191 I fixed my issue. There is an SD card holder in your radio face on the dash. You need to simply take the SIM card out and your radio will work again. Your map won’t work though. I hope this helps!
This is a major disappointment for me with Toyota. I used to stand by the brand but this is straight-up BS. I have the same issue and conveniently for them is out of warranty for repair. One morning it started doing this and since then it has been a nightmare. I will not recommend Toyota to anyone and will most likely talk anyone out of purchasing a Toyota brand for this particular reason. They don't stand by their product, they won't admit this a factory defect. I'm amazed at how many people have this same issue; it's ridiculous. They don't even offer a discount or anything other than a "Fck you" and buy another system from us.
same issue with my Toyota corolla s 2014 started from one month ago, I did a lot of research and tried to fix it, but failed to make it back to work, is there anybody find the solution? Any suggestion is appreciated.
Mine just happened right now with my 2014 rav4 and I came on RU-vid to find a solution. I have no idea why this is happening and I planned on visiting the dealer tomorrow.
Just had my battery replaced at the garage. Now my system is doing this as well... from what I am reading here I'm not feeling very hopeful. If there is a class action, please include me in it as well. Dang. 2014 Corolla
My 2014 camry se radio has the same issue . It’s been like this since 2021. I don’t know what to do. I’m out of warranty and im not paying 1500 dollars for nothing .
I found a local repair shop who did the repair in 24 hours. Involved replacement of main system board. According to them, the original units were not properly soldered. Repair costs about $509. If I list the vendor, it gets deleted. But, you might try calling Maryann if you can see the embedded number too won for wive haven wive wive sex tree wive.
My 2014 Corolla just did that today. WTH??!! There’s nothing that can fix this? This is so annoying with how it keeps flipping from dark to rebooting 😥
I have same problem problem with my 2014 Rav 4.Dealership said l need pay 1600 to fix.And so many people have the same problem they should do a recall on this.we loved Toyota but now no more
Hi I bought rav4 2017 (25000 mile ) when i m going to nav option they said Navigation system is not available Whats a solution of this problem please advise
I am having the same problem in my 2014 rav 4 keeps trying to reload I was told that if you have a iphone connected to it and the phone updates at the same time as the radio it will cause now how true that is I don't know
My 2013 auris has the same issue. Disconnecting the power cable to the gps unit brought back my bluetooth, since the main unit has bluetooth too. But gps is gone...
Landed here after started to have same issue with my RAV4 year 2014. I am keen to start a class action as this is not something Toyota should get along with.
IM LITERALLY in the same situation. My GPS. just resets n resets. Just finished watching this guy's testimony and it just looks like the most frustrating situation. A problem that's not ours but a factory defect. N I was starting to love camry in my 2014 se..☹️
Have this same exact issue on my 2015 carolla , went to dealership they told me it would be 8000 to replace the dead unit .6000 if I bought a used head
Just happened to me while driving home from work! My radio, navigation, charger plug! Screen went blank then looked like it was resetting but nothing, just like this video! I was hoping there was a solution but by the looks of these comments, it doesn’t look good. Disappointed with Toyota. Like many of you, I bought my Toyota because it was a Toyota. If anyone has found a solution, please do share. Thank you.
2014 Rav4 our navigation system will not accept an address. Dealer said connected with radio would be $1700 to fix. No cars to sell on lot so rip off folks on repairs. Should be a recall. Honda is looking better.
Did you ever find a resolution for this? I have same model and this happened to me 2 days ago (5/29/23). No clue how to approach fixing it. Just randomly happened.
my 2014 Rav4, did the same thing. No radio, no navigation, it keep on booting nothing else. It happened to me couple of weeks back. Anybody found a solution? Thx.
No they want 1200 for a refurbished I called Toyota Corporation and they told me that it was not a recall but if this many people are having problem why not get as many people to call them 800-331-4331 complain please so many of us maybe they’ll do a recall
but if you can open the panel and find bord .you can see clocker or pulser .if you connect 2 leg of pulser . system will reboot and start work .but any time you cut the car battery. problm will start again. you never cut the battery even when you try to chsnge battery you have do with wire and ectra paralel battery
My family had this issue and had to purchase a full new system, now yet again, this system is failing again, and the dealership is saying to just buy ANOTHER RADIO, and they won't cover it because it's out of warranty, again. We are long term Toyota owners, and this is the worse infotainment system we have ever had. Really leaving a bad taste in our mouth as Toyota lovers. Has anyone had any success with these issues?
