Lev Weksler , your performance of this piece was truly spectacular. You have a gift for music, and I hope you continue to share your talent with the world.
This is a wonderful rendition! Would you be open to it being used as the musical accompaniment to a timelapse video? Fully credited and linked back to this page, of course!
Not a double bass player (electric guitar/bass, primarily a metal musician), but that left hand technique is not the "standard" one, right? I've never seen anyone play in that position, using the thumb and hitting the strings from above like that. It does look extremely efficient though. Might just be the fact that i've never seen anyone play something this fast and complex on a double bass
while the tone quality is quite impressive, I think I can here a slight amount of audio editing. I'm not accusing you of fraud, but i would like to know if you do any post-editing to make the audio clearer/higher quality.
Masterful bowing technique makes the use of glissando sound like each note was individually fingered. Incredibly impressive timing and articulation, beautifully and musically performed. Kudos and bravo! 👏
Holy shit, this is really one of the best performances of this piece I've ever seen. I've been a professional double bass player myself for about 36 years, so I know how difficult what you're doing is. Well done! Really excellent playing. I only know one living bassist who can play it better, and that's Roman Patkolo.
Very nice! I do enjoy your videos! By the way, I can see that you are indeed playing as per the movement of your left and right hands are synchronized and it matches the sound you're producing. But your instrument sounds a little artificial. What kind of sound treatment you make?
@@ilsospetto4608 This is wrong. If you see me playing on an empty string in this piece of music, it's because you misunderstood my advice: salt and pepper should be sprinkled on the microphone, not on the eyes. Capiche?
@@levweksler1819 actually, the open string vibrato is on the Zigeunerweisen you posted a year ago. It's hard to manage so many MIDI files, isn't it? I can also give the you the mark so you can hurry up and edit it: 0:11.
@@ilsospetto4608 I find your role as a music critic unsatisfactory. I especially ‘liked’ your comments about my ‘empty vibrating strings' and my ‘MIDI files’ in my Zigeunerweisen video. That's why I decided to offer you a more serious role that will help you and others better understand the issues of falsifying music. I am ready, in front of you, as a witness, to record “live” on camera that same Zigeunerweisen and post it on RU-vid. I live in Brooklyn, N.Y. Let me know if you have the opportunity and desire to take part in such an event.
