it's really simple, take the spare tire out from under the rear as the access for it will be blocked. Strap it to the inside wall of van. Screw a 2x8 board to the rear floor. Put fence hinges on it to your ramp. Start watching from 5:25 of video. shows it clearly. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate ur answer, we are using a 2019 promaster so I’m not sure if it will be exactly the same. Right now we are using a metal ramp that we have to unfold. But looking to copy the same idea you got.
SAFETY items should be 1-2-3 EASY to do on the side of the road in an emergency, THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW!!!! We need to get a list of the cost of these kind of routine maintenance items BEFORE PURCHASE to see what the REAL cost of ownership is - maybe manufacturers would then have an incentive to make at least these things easy and cheap. Thanks for confirming that removing the entire headlight assembly may be the only way for normal-size folks to do this - ARGH!
I've had nothing but trouble with my 54" Yard Commander. Mesh rips easily, vibrates enough to lose bolts, axle has broken twice, brush height adjustment won't stay in place unless you really tighten hard, and the two posts that keep the hopper up keep falling out! I've had mine less than 4 years and had to fix almost everything on it. I removed the rope because it kept dropping in front of the sweeper and binding on the brushes. Good thing to note for almost all lawn sweepers, don't go faster than 5mph (as warned in the manual, but only an ATV has a speedometer), don't turn sharp because the wheels are attached through the axle and they need to turn at the same speed or you risk too much torsion on the axle and it breaks where the screws go through it, and don't lower the sweeper into the grass more than 1/2" or you'll break your axle. Yard Commander is junk. Your video is 2ys old, what do you think of Yard Commander now?
I haven't had any problems with mine. Just have to maintain it like anything else, make sure things are together and tight. Only thing that has happened to me is the rope getting caught up in the sweeper lol. That was a pain but hey, you learn. I still use it, on my own property and on some customers properties as well. Still working strong!
Hi Kitty, I am not a mechanic by all means lol. I just made this video show how easy this fix is. I know there is not much if no room to work with under the hood of these trucks. Sorry that I am no help. Try googling and or search on RU-vid. Good luck!
That is too bad. Seemed to be fairly straight forward with mine but yes, the instructions are terrible. Maybe try buying one that is together already. All the best!
The black line is hard to see, I always try to keep some line before it gets too close to the head, otherwise it's going to go inside and you're going to have to remove the head and rewind the line.
Ya, it's a pain in the ass to deal with. Still to this day, NO issues with ugly line, works like a champ in crazy tall weeds and grass and normal conditions. Thanks for watching!
Great video thank you! You answered my question! And as well yes the black diamond does come off short from one side we catches that twiced we were thinking it was us not putting it right but we did put in right will be trying the ugly line from Lowe’s! Thank you! Great video !
Great clip man. What blades are you using? I recently bought a 636 and I don’t like the cut, it’s got stock blades. I’ve seen other videos of ppl complaining about the cut quality of stocks too.
Congratulations on your 636M. Love this mower. Regarding blades, I just use what deere had with it. I have had no issues with the blades. I have a few sets of mulching blades as well but honestly, I like the stock straight blade. Even with them and my grassflap, they mulch up leaves and debris like there is no tomorrow. I guess it's just personal preference. Be safe!
It was missing a seal or something and it seized. Manufacture defect. This unit was brand new. Took about 9 months to get a replacement. Never by Stihl again.
@@MBGAdventures Ya they crazy now. Almost 17k is what im getting as quotes. Going the used market i think. Im North. North Bay. Love the channel. Cheers
@@MBGAdventures Ya surprised the hell out of me 15K plus tax and thats the entry model. Q810E 36. The 48" models over 18 +. Going used i think for sure. Just got to find one.
Yah I bought one , a field tuff 125 lbs. From Amazon Used it 4 times , once a year in the spring to spread my crab grass fertilizer . Everytime I went to use it the next year it was broke or fail while I was using it . I have 5 acres, to fertilize. Had a nice set up with the controller bolted on my control panel on my turf tiger and a modified removable vertically receiver on the front . Washed and cleaned it after of every use , stored it in side the last time I tried to use it after replacing the seized up motor the previous year, the on off switch had a short in it when I hooked it up . Replaced that went to take a practice run with about 40 lbs of fertilizer in it , the motor wouldn’t spin went to close the shoot and the cable kinks leaving a trail of fertilizer back to my barn . This spread is still mint condition. Made in China disposable JUNK . There’s 5 brands made by the same place . I’m buying a JRCO $1.500.00 but you get what you pay for . Good luck Bubba you always what to consult your professional landscaper before you start any projects .
Yes, you get what you pay for, just thought I would try it out. Got it cheap enough. Mine is still going strong. In all reality, everything can and will break. I'm sure the new spreader will work great for you!
I own a landscape company, but I just rigged it up for my property . I cut and fertilize about 5 acres . I have a 80 lb Guide Gear one the I had for 20 years that has been a great piece of equipment, then I wanted to get the bigger one , what a lemon . I didn’t know but Amazon had refunded my money after a year . It’s been a long time but it broke the first time I used it . I must of called them for warranty info , but Amazon is cool .
Good morning, Mike! I agree 100%, Brother!! It would be WAY MORE fun to rip things apart before you cut them up all nicely with a chainsaw! Heck, if I had a mini ex, there's no telling what I'd NOT do!😆 That Kubota made short work of that tree for sure! Thanks for sharing ANOTHER cool video! Have a great day! God bless.
1000% lol. Lynn is worried that I will start destruction on everything in our yard now LOL. Work smarter not harder right. I love my mini ex. Thanks for watching Lou and enjoy your day!
I just wanted to post this helpful hint, hack or trick which ever you want to call it. You do not have to take off the drive belt pulley or cut the screw post like in another video. I watched several videos someone made a comment after he had his belt on, that he had seen one that suggested lubing the back side of the belt and you could slide it in. I was like ok lets try that, shiot it worked. I took some 3 in 1 oil, put some on the flat side of the belt, then pinched in between the pulley and the post at angle to start. Grabbed the pulley and went back and forth and back and forth and it started to work its way down. Then took a piece or plywood, 8" long, 2 1/2" wide and 3/8 thick, put in on top of the belt and hammered with my 3/8" ratchet, it worked its way in just fine. Took about a minute. Good luck with it. I just hope I remember how I did it when I need to do it again
Nice equipment! One thing you need is a skid steer roller to roll out the driveway gravel. A year or two ago I saw a guy using one on a parking lot. I stopped and asked and he has a local welding shop make it. It really did the job. Take care. Tom
@@MBGAdventures his was actually a 24 inch diameter pipe that had 1 inch wall. He had it just wider than his skid steer to cover that tracks when he pulled it backwards. He had it made at his local welding fabricator who had made rollers for local ranchers, but just had the skid steer quick attach mounts on it. He had the bucket and land plane like yours but also had the roller. Smoothed the gravel out nicely. Take care! We have been dodging tornados and hail here in Oklahoma!
That is the grass collection system that I need for my z760r 60 cut I just bought. I didn't realize how small the bags are in the regular collection system when I ordered it. We've gotten so much rain in the past 2 weeks in Oklahoma I can't even mow.
It's a great collection system but expensive. The bags are fine but yes, smaller. One good thing with the bags, you can empty them each into the back of your truck. The other collection system, if you can back onto a dump trailer, great but otherwise you have to dump on the ground and shovel up. Same here in Southern Ontario Canada were I am, lots of rain. Grass is soooo tall. Thanks for watching!
Hey, Mike! Nice job, Brother! Looks like you're getting a pretty good handle on the mini ex. That opened the yard up nicely! Looks really good! Have a great day. God bless.
Back in the day when I was living in Brunswick Georgia my grandparents had a pear 🍐 tree in the back yard only thing is that is it was covered by bamboo.
Hey Mike it's good to see you. I haven't been able to watch videos with my work schedule been working till 12am Monday through Friday so I basically quit RU-vid for now. Nice job buddy. I'll have to catch up on your videos cause I'm not to far behind.
Hey Bill, long time no chat and see. I have been kinda off youtube as well for a while. We have to do what is most important first. RU-vid can always wait. Hope all is well with you, enjoy your day!
@@MBGAdventures Yes you are right the important stuff comes first. I haven't made a video in quite awhile, but it surely can wait. It's always good to see you cause your channel isn't the same thing all the time and plus you make it interesting. All is well and hope all is well for you buddy.
Good morning, Mike! Well, that attachment seems to do the trick! It's going to look great! Hope to see the results. Have a great weekend, Brother! God bless.
Morning Lou, Yes, it really works well. I would like to get better angles with the camera but my mount was not sticking on the machine lol. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend as well!
Thanks Justin. Just a short video. If I had a camera person, I can then get outside footage. Laneway was so long, just a pain to reset the camera at every bend. Thanks for your support!
