I wanted to see if I could use my Track Loader to move a trailer. 100% you can. There are attachment options you can buy or save lots of money and be creative. Just having some fun and I thought I would share it!

Good video, try bolting underneath the bucket and weld a plate to the top of the bar to keep it from moving back and forth.

That is actually a really good idea. Might try that. Don't have to have a plate with two bolts. Thus way still just one bolt 🔩. Thanks Mark!

@@MBGAdventures your welcome Mike, I love making things work that weren’t intended for the job.

To expand on your invention…. Have Justin weld 2 1/8 thick but 1/2 inch strips that fit right along side of the hitch when bolted on to prevent it from sliding and allowing you to not have to tighten so much using tools and lock nut. Then get a bolt and a big wingnut so you can just put it in hand tight and the strips of metal will prevent it from moving despite just being lightly secured by hand for easy on and off. And the small thin pieces of metal won’t affect the bucket under normal use when hitch isn’t on it. Ultimately they make many things to do this obviously as well as without the bucket the machine is more agile especially in tight places etc and less risk of bumping stuff. But for now that worked great. It’s so handy having a skid around …. I started with my first one contacting every small landscaper and builder I found with a card simply as a bobcat guy for even small jobs. At the time years ago I was doing $200 minimum got you an hour and $75 each additional… those are really cheap prices now this was 18 years ago. But if you line up small easy jobs just a couple a month justifys the Payment on the machine. Pick a price just under what it would cost to rent and deliver a machine for minimum and guys that need stuff done will pick you over dealing with renting one. And starting out it’s good experience and good money….. for now. Do the jobs after hours and weekends…. Just a thought. Simple clean business cards by the thousands hand them to everyone. You will be amazed trust me

Examples, land leveling for pools, moving or disposing of hot tubs, sheds, Small boats, brush piles,…. Also in winter on real snowy winters people run out of places to push snow with their plows show up with skid and trailer and move like 10 yards of snow quickly for them to regain parking spaces all businesses etc… minimum price goes up for snow work but just examples beyond your basic landscaping tasks

I thought of that too. There are so many ways to do this. I like the wing nut idea, you don't need an impact and you can change on the fly. 100% I have been advertising out. I did one job for a contract 5 minutes down the road from me. I drove the track loader there lol. $500 in one hour clearing bricks from around the house. I have another job lined up too once the ground is not as wet, clearing a horse paddock and leveling. I already thought about the minimum. With inflation and all, $400 minimum and after 2 hours, $120 per hour unless they want a set price for what ever, I will obliviously over estimate it. I know it's better to go hourly but yes, it is important to have a minimum charge. You are loading, chaining, driving, unchaining, unloading, doing the job, then same process to go back home. I will finally have use for those chains you suggested to me when I had the Excavator. Never used them till now. Thanks Ken!

Hey Mike. Not trying to tell you what to do, but if you ever buy a set of pallet forks, I would suggest mounting the hitch to one of the forks (most guys just drill a hole through one of the forks about 6-7 inches from the tip). I think you'll find the forks will allow you to put just about any trailer you want, anywhere you want with near pin-point accuracy, whereas attached to a bucket it can be a little more tedious. The thing I like most about pallet forks is they are so versatile. Grapple buckets can be quite expensive and pallet forks can move some pretty large logs and piles of brush (with a little more effort). They are especially handy when used in conjunction with a dump trailer, such as you already own. Pallet forks are also very handy for unloading trucks that aren't equipped with drop-gates. I have saved quite a bit of money over the years of having things shipped to me and not having to opt for a drop-gate trailer (freight companies usually charge more). In fact, I haven't found a tractor trailer that I could not off-load with my pallet forks and as we're in the business to make money, this is a potential revenue stream.

Hey there, I actually do have pallet forks, 5500 lb capacity ones. I showed them quick in a recent video. 100% everyone needs a set of forks. I had them for the tractor I had too. That is a thought to about using the hitch draw bar on the forks. you are right. You can see what your doing better too. I am pretty sure I have the holes in the forks already. I will check it out. Thanks for the tips and for watching!

I see a lot of people getting the hitch bar with the different sizes which is smart. Oh yea it sucks getting stuck in four wheel drive and two wheel drive. That is a good idea and it worked. That is true use what you have if it works why not. You always have good ideas brother 👍👊

Ya, thought I would get the multi ball draw bar for shunting trailers with my track loader. Once you get stuck, you learn and don't do it again. Not sure if I always have good ideas but they seem to work lol. Thanks Bill!

@@MBGAdventures Yea it would be a pain without the multi ball draw bar. Absolutely and I know where not to go to get stuck especially since I only have rear wheel drive. Yes your ideas always seem to work. Your very welcome brother 👊
