Certainly. They are the most conspicuous Nephs around. You can probably go to Station 5 from Moongate. Along the way you can very easily see them. Wont miss it.
@@rexyprakash Thanks so much. I have spent my life wanting to see them in the wild. Many times intended to go to Borneo but Penang looks like my destination :)
@@RH-xf4vf its quite easy to see them. If you are around in Penang Island in October 2022 I can show you this area which has a good population of various colour forms and grows alongside Neph mirabilis.
@@RH-xf4vf Penang only has 4 species not counting the natural hybrids. N. mirabilis, N. gracilis, N. albomarginata, N. ampullaria. Mirabilis and ampullaria seems to have a tendency of producing natural hybrids as they are usually found growing close to each other here
@@rexyprakash Oh wow. I'd love to be guided to see them incl the hybrids. I will be coming out in January 2023 though, not October. If you are still around then it would be amazing.
Hi Azri. That is the rubble of the quarantine camp. It has been mounded together and hence looks like a graveyard. But it is not a graveyard, just rubble
I used to lived in Jerejak Island. My parents worked there as a Prison Officer. We were instructed to leave Pulau Jerejak as the government want to make a development when Pusat Pemulihan Akhlak Pulau jerejak was officially closed on 1993. The mass displacement of the staffs and prisoners was happened back on 1993.Many memories we have created here. I lived Jerejak when I was just 8 years old. The memory still fresh in my head.
Thanks for sharing. I saw the lovely photo of the roll call for prison staff which your family shared for Mike Gibby's Jerejak book. Lovely photo and glad to meet you here
I wish you can change the music. you made video on PJ, one of the scariest place in the country and yet you put the dancing, waltzing music for the video..? sheeshhhh..
Thank you so much for this fabulous video. I love it. I hiked some trails on Pulau Jerejak a few weeks ago and I was so curious about the history of this island. Now I know much more abut this island, thanks.
