Lovely building that is. Really good access all round and lots of natural light. How tall is it up to the eaves beam please? We are planning something similar and what full height offices on a mezzanine floor.
What did you have to do to get the rudder to bolt up? Does 2 of the holes line up and you have to drill 2? Mine needs more cooling and was thinking of doing this upgrade myself
Hey Mikey. Unfortunately I don't remember since it's been a while. I have a build thread on offshoreelectrics . If you google "proboat stealthwake offshoreelectrics" you can find it pretty easily. The thread has pictures of the rudders but here is the text from that old post: " The stock rudder and bracket are plastic and there's quite a bit of play in the mount and flex in the rudder. I also wanted to get a rudder with a water intake in it just in case I decide to eliminate the bottom mounted water pickup. I ordered a rudder for a Blackjack 24/Shockwave 26 and it worked out really well. It's the right size and two of the holes in the transom line up almost perfectly. I did have to drill two more holes for the new rudder. The aluminum Blackjack rudder is mounted a little deeper than the stock rudder to hopefully make the boat a little more stable at faster speeds. The steering arm is on the correct side of the rudder but I had to bend the steering rod some in order to hook it up but the stock length worked fine."
My 2016 Defender owners manual says this about reseting the maintenance message, if you have the same gauges as I do: To erase the MAINTENANCE REQUIRED message, proceed as follows: 1. Select PARK. 2. Turn ignition switch to ON. Do NOT start engine. 3. Set the cluster to odometer display. 4. Press SET button on the multifunction gauge and keep it pressed until step 6. 5. Switch the high beam On-Off three times rapidly. 6. Turn ignition switch to OFF. NOTE: Steps 4 and 5 must be completed within 5 seconds. NOTE: Do not turn ignition switch to ON before the multifunction gauge turns off.

Thanks for watching! If you look in the comments of the video, there is a link to a page that has wiring diagrams for these square body trucks. The wiring changes from year to year so there is no way for me to tell you exactly.
Nice work, just be aware that from what I saw on the pilot surface of your pinion, the hard face surface is failing, so you will be in for a full rebuild in the not too distant future.
Thanks for the reply and info! I unfortunately had to sell this truck but I appreciate your help and hopefully your comment will help someone else in the future!
@@GodsCountry Thanks! I got a used brushless-upgraded one this week and she loves to drink. Been trying to figure out a more permanent way to seal the canopy but no luck. Guess tape is the way to go.
Hey, i’m not sure if you’re gonna answer my comment or not because this video was posted along time ago but I am restoring my truck and I was wondering since those were in contact with the speakers if that made any problems with the sound?
Hey Anthony! Thanks for the comment. It has been a long time since I made this video and unfortunately I don't own this truck anymore.... I don't remember the floor mats causing any problems with the speakers or sound though.
1st Thanks for the video. 2nd Wal-Mart no longer carries these cheap cup holders, but advanced auto parts does. Fixed up a set last weekend. The video was a big help
I love my 06 1500 mega cab going on 16 years of ownership, and over 200k miles on her. She's been a very dependable truck, I don't think I'm ever going to get rid of her especially now that new and used prices are through the roof. It would be cheaper to rebuild the engine or transmission than to pay almost 90k for a newer truck similar to her. Plus I'm not really into all that high tech crap newer vehicles have.
Thanks for your question! This 1500 Megacab with the 5.7L Hemi got around 9-10 mpg in the hilly, curvy area that I live in. I almost never drive on the "highway". Since this truck, I've had two more gas Megacabs but they had/have the 6.4L Hemi. These two trucks were 2500s because Ram doesn't make a 1500 Megacab anymore. Still, these 6.4L Megacabs have gotten around 12-13mpg. Again, that's on curvy and hilly, low speed roads mostly. I feel like all of these trucks could have done 2-3mpg better with more highway driving. Oh I forgot that the 1500 Megacab was mostly on 35" mud terrains. The 2500 Megacabs have been on 35" all terrain tires. I hope that helps a little.
This carrier can be built in many different sizes. It just depends on what size bag you buy. However, a Spartan should fit in the size bag that I built because I think these boats are similar size. You should check the dimensions though. I'm sorry, I can't say about costs because prices have changed since I built this bag years ago. You will like a bag though. It really helps.
