We all may garden somewhat differently, but we are all here to help each other learn.. Remember what one does in the garden does not always work for another.. but you must keep trying..my channel is showing you some guidelines to go by.. use them, then develop some of your own methods.. Love growing Plants , Any plants really!
Not afraid to get my hands dirty. still in the learning process of gardening and will forever be.
Grow many of my plants from seed.
Love sharing what I have learned over the years with hands on experience in the greenhouse and growing in the garden.
Found a nice large leafed variegated hosta at a park, put some seeds in my pocket 2 weeks ago... soaked them and put them in a pot... 2 weeks later, I have a first seedling. (like you... not that I need more hostas, but this was a nice one) Am doing the same with cannas. Have a few dozen cannas now too.
This is great! I rescued a dying plant from someone a year ago and stuck it in my window. All of a sudden this beautiful plant exploded! I’m so glad I came across this video because this is what my surprise plant is! Now I can share it with my friends!
So, the plants' genetics (color) will depend on what color the flower you collect seed from. My plumed celosia is always a guess because getting the color you want has nothing to do with the color of the plant you harvest from.
Hi, I do have a question. Mine were brown and crispy and fell off so I have collected them, but they look totally different in the middle than yours do. They almost look like they didn’t dry out enough.
I fell in love with John when I was 12. His 1973 Greatest Hits was my first album, I still have it…many decades. Annie’s Song was sung at our wedding 43 years ago. As a kindred spirit, I’m a fan forever.🥰
Oh, I looooove them, tooo!!! I have over a hundred plants. ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t need any either according to my husband BUT I am going to start some from seeds!!! CANT WAIT!!!
Do you have an update on how they are doing now and when they flowered? I just removed the seeds from a Calla Lily I dug up from my Grammas yard after she passed a few years ago. I'm hoping to create a lot of new plants for other family members 🩷 Thank you for posting this.
Oh no ive cut mine now (end july) pods still green but all flowers dead. Can the pods be left to dry then collect seed. Or will these have been cut too soon 🙁 thanks for any help and advice 4:22
Oh my goodness. This video has me so excited! I have been wanting to propagate my own hostas for years and it is so neat to see that this is possible! It may take a lot of patience but it is an option to save some money on plants!
These are My favorite,, I recently moved and had some Out in pots, and then the deer decided to Munch on them , will the come Back, I put What was Left back inside.
I planted some peppermint last week, just this week it is sprouting above ground but it looks like a blade of grass. No leaves just a few cm long tiny still but why no leaves yet? Is this peppermint or did something else fall into my pot and start growing or something? Been trying to find info online but cant find any pictures or information of anyone knowing about this. Would appreciate some help thanks! 😊
Beautiful plant! I’m curious if you know what it means when the tips of the leaves become brown and crunchy? I’m thinking it’s a humidity problem but I’m unsure cause this is my first begonia I’m trying to maintain in my home
I've been growing moss rose in my garden for about 5 years and I love them. At one point in your video you put them under what you called a cool white light. Is the white light roughly 4000k? Do they grow well under that light until you are ready to transplant them? I've been using 6500k white light and my seedlings haven't been doing well.
I have seen this on sprouting pineapple seeds and did them. I currently have 10 seeds that have sprouted and I put potting soil in a clear container that fruit came in and watered it and put lid on it. I have it on my covered back patio where it gets morning sun. It took 3 months before the seeds sprouted but i guess i lucked out with good one. I have even planted a cantaloupe seed in a flower bed and got one cantaloupe. It was quite tasty.
I bougth some hosta seeds on ebay, but they are small and round. I cannot get any of them to sprout ater weeks. I guess I should go to lowes and buy one.
