Just found your channel this morning. Great footage. I was walking my small dog between two cornfields last weekend when I saw a black bear just like the one in this video, pass in front of us... My first thought was not to run, but to get the heck out of there quickly because I didn't know if cubs were following her or if she was just in a mood to chase us. I grabbed my Chihuahua (deer head chihuahua so she's not feeble or teacup sized) and did a fast walk out of the path & turned the corner to the straightaway. I so much love going to this tall cornfield area, but now am too scared to do it. Do you think if I brought a metal pan & clanged on it that it would be enough to ward off bears, or are cornfields places where they hang out in particular? There are woods around the perimeter of the field.

Finding gold the old way has the dowsing physics reverse engineered. Read my book: The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), by Michael Fercik. Learn the physics involved in dowsing and how to build the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod, which is the only dowsing rod that precisely gauges what is being dowsed by pitting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the pure one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is attached onto the elevated acetylene welding rod, which free spins on ball bearings. This precisely gauges the dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important is grading or deciphering the amount of the dowsed element that is contained in the elemental mass that is being dowsed. Become a professional dowser by practicing the books dowsing lessons of buried pipelines and electrical cables, tunnels and voids, precious and base metal placer and lode deposits, dowsing for treasure, dowsing for any element, amplified long distant dowsing from a moving vehicle, and dowsing on water from a boat.

The state had something called the Mined Land Reclamation Law. It says that “gold and silver found on private and state lands, and minerals/fossils found on state land, are owned by New York State.” The law stems from a statute sometimes referred to as The Kings Law which dates back to 1776.

@VolcanoGoldDiggerAdirondacks so I read a lot on what you just sent me. I don't know if it would be worth it to pay 50 bucks to the secretary of state and file notice to the commissioner every time I want to go look in a different spot to look for gold or silver. Maybe I'm getting all this wrong. But if you need to pay and submit notice with name and address with a detailed map of where you're going to look for gold and then still have a possibility of permits being denied. I don't know man. Seems like a lot for something that won't pan out. No pun intended.

Out west they have a saying Iron gives birth to gold This 80 year old tip would be get an Falkon metal detector it finds gold this size [.] 1 and 1/2 inches in rocks then go to a gravel pit test all the rocks here in the Adirondacks you will find more than you want to open to see what mental that made it sound off. fools gold does not make a sound black sand makes sound coming back. You can buy it who makes it in Arizona Because of it I found a Volcano in the Adirondacks. Then watch Ask jeff willams you tube and Crist Ralph professional -------- I am just learning how to answerer question here get fist full of gold From Crist Ralph

We have state land up here... and I called DEC to see if I could metal detect (I have a Nokta Legend), and they said NO. I have a permit for a few of the state parks here, but it's limited. (southern tier). So I'm just been fishing coins out of the local city park. I have a small round tiny tarp with plastic gromets on it... which scoop my dirt on... and got nice low profile shover... very narrow for planting... that has a kick on it. I wanted to do some panning with a sluice.... I'll have to look you your mention about it being legal I think I saw somewhere else that said it was legal too... and everyone just auto-repeats the kings law thing. Thank you. If I'm ever in your neck of the wood we shall look to capture the Candian Lynx together.

Here in the Adirondacks you will find more stones than you want to open to see if the metal was gold or what kind of metal. Just to be honest with you, NY State is not known to have much if any gold. There has never been a Gold Rush in NY State with the exception of a fabricated untrue story of it being found in the Adirondack Mlountains. Certainly, if on the slim chance you did find gold in NY State, it wouldn't be a nuggent and most likely flakes or dust found gold panning on a stream. So just to be very honest with you, your're wasting your time looking for nuggets. I live in UpState NY and that's the real TRUTH of gold in NY State. If you are close to the State of Vermont, you can find gold dust and flakes panning on rivers and streams but again Vermont is not know to have any large deposits of gold. Hope this helps you out.

If their was a gold rush in N.Y before 1946 all of it would belong to New York State. A reasons their could be gold in the Adirondacks you got to have pressure- the Adirondack rises 12 inches in 100 years. They have a saying out west - iron is the mother of gold. Look at the Diggings web page for St. Lawrence they show ABOUT going to say I can not remember let say 20 places of Iron in the ground Next Ask Jeff Williams he says you got to have Rhyolite volcanos I found 3 in the Adirondacks-- When you are in the Adirondacks deer hunting see how many 20 foot diameter boulders you see. Where did they come from I will leave the biggest one last I do not want to be a druggy. Gareth
