For someone who’s mentally ill this was visually pleasing but severely paranoid inducing with the musics noises I love the video but boy was this a rollercoaster
I saw a youtube video where he soaked in the IPA for over 24 hours. Is there a recommended amount of time for it? Usually people say 20-40 minutes but what happens if I leave it for longer
I appreciate this side by side comparison. IPA being faster but also more expensive and harder to get your hands on is important information, so meths is fine for most hobbyists who don't need it to happen as quickly. Also, it is reassuring to see evidence that neither overly damages the model, with only minor glue dissolving based breaks.
You're a champion mate I'm going to paint my space marines just like this from now on. Never been able to find a scheme that I like and everyone around here has Ultramarines, blood/dark angels, fists, etc. I'll be good to rock up with a silver skulls kill team for something different 🤙
Yes I have exactly the same problem until that is my advent courier comes with 6 more pots of shading and then it will be full speed ahead as the summer nights continue.
@@minipaintermadness that's fair. The transition to the warplock bronze may have lightened the formula or could be the small differences between batches which i note too often happens across all brands.
Thank you for the video! Like the color scheme. These are what you would expect from an army emerging from a swamp. Some times painters forget that they paint an army, not a circus troupe.
I just finished my first Gutrippa from the paint set. I was too careful when applying my Orruk Flesh. I should do it more like you did next time. Did you prime your model before painting it?
Love this scheme. Perfect for a beginner or to bring the army to the table really fast!! There should be more videos like this on easy ways to paint certain armies. In my mind that is different than a fast paint tutorials as the fast paint tutorials often involve airbrushing or oil washes and beginners often do not have access to these. So great work once again and I hope to see more “easy schemes” from you and others!!
Have you tried Dettol ?. The paint literally slides off the miniature after a few hours of soaking and you really only need to scrub with a toothbrush to get the paint away from the miniature, not to actually get it off the miniature. It's also a lot cheaper and easier to obtain, in Ireland at least.
@@pray4plagues177 I forgot to mention, and thanks for reminding me, that after cleaning the paint off the miniatures place them in warm water with some washing up liquid in it then leave them for five or ten minutes to soak. This stops the active ingredient in the Dettol. After that give them a scrub with a toothbrush to clean out the deep recesses areas. You can put pure washing up liquid onto the miniature and scrub them just to be sure, then rinse with warm water. I've been using this method for over a decade and have never had any problems with Dettol residue. Also use gloves when handling undiluted Dettol.
Thank you for posting. I agree the paint scheme on all Stormcast models contains far too much gold. Will be giving this alternative a go. Keep your ideas coming
Hey, question! Did you prime with the Leadbelcher? Or did you prime it first (in black or white or gray) and THEN applied the Leadbelcher coat? Thanks man!
