Hopefully the bluebills show up again on the lake like last year. That was a lot of fun. And you can double dip and pull some holes for speck in the same spot after you limit on the bluebills since the limit is so low. l'm sure you guys saw plenty of them last season.
It held up like a champ during Helene. I was impressed. I didn’t pour cement in the holes, just threw in a bunch of broken pavers basically to keep the poles tight.
@@brentallenoutdoorsfl I have something similar and we used those screw in ground anchors nair over the storm and the Arial attack from the water oak 🤣
I gravitated to your channel because crappie fishing was also me and my dads thing to do but i just recently lost him and haven't been able to really enjoy slab hunting since his passing. Man the best part was looking at each others face after one of us hooked up🎣. Enjoy every bit of your dad bro sore lip as many slabs as you can with him
That’s a wonderful thing getting to experience that with your dad, and I’m real sorry to hear of his passing. Hopefully you come around and get back out there and keep those memories while making new ones. I’m sure he will be right there with you in spirit appreciating every slab you catch. I always tell folks I never take my time fishing with the old man for granted. Not every time is perfect, but we have way more good days than bad ones and each one is memorable in its own way. 🎣
My Rapala R12 motor wore out after one season and the batteries won't charge...Do a search on the R12 and you will see a LOT of people with the same issues...
Yeah, we weren’t fishing here!!!! People just have no curtesy or common sense anymore. I hate when folks invade your fishing spot when they can clearly see you are fishing there.
Hello ! Mr. Allen. Me and my wife will be keeping you in our prayers at all times. You’re my favorite shells crawler and red ear and bluegills RU-vidr . When you get back started fishing can you please do a little more shells crawler and red ear and bluegills catch and cook RU-vid videos please in 2024 please. I want you to always remember this statement when the devil close one door God open another door Amen 🙏! I want your godly honesty opinion which spinning rods company will you give your last dollar on if need to go shells crawler and red ear and bluegills and crappie fishing casting from the bank are the boat . I’m asking you for one company only please 👍
Can’t wait for this years speck videos love watching you guys pull em out of that veg. Pulled out a few last year well over 2lb from St John’s. Both close to 17”.
If you are looking at buying these things for your boat, DON'T!! I put these things on my brand new aluminum trailer to hold my boat, thinking that all f the "reviews" were good. After the VERY FIRST trip to the water, the next time out they became hard to release. I then took them off, sprayed them inside with corrosion X, lithium grease and even MAX WAX!! They made three trips to the water, after the third trip I had to cut the straps with my knife to release my boat from the trailer. I currently have two giant chunks of rusted together garbage to show for my money. DO NOT BUY, unless you like throwing your money away.
Brent my brother and I are coming down there if the Lord say the same end of January. For crappie and shellcrackers should we just go to Kissimmee or go all the way down to Okeechobee at that time of the year. I truly enjoy your videos please don't stop you making me think about moving to Florida when I retire.
Don’t knock it until you’ve gone out and tried it. Crappie fishing is revered nationwide and is as fun as it is addicting. Filling the cooler is a bonus but I’ll be the first to say that it isn’t always easy!
Great video! what did you use to pull out the lilies to make the holes? looks like a piece of pipe and a saw on the end of it? Do you make it yourself?
If I only have a few fish to clean I don’t mind a regular knife. But when you’ve got 100+ fish to get through, an electric knife makes all the difference.
@@brentallenoutdoorsfl I might be different. Are used to commercial fish and I’d process up to a couple of thousand fish in an afternoon just seemed pretty quick. I used to do and when I watched your videos and other peoples videos using those electric knives you’d probably lose a lot of weight in fish fillet as I was a commission fisherman, all good bro enjoy your video still
@HUNTINGNT375 Yeah, everyone’s different. I’ve seen a guy rip through crappie with a regular knife like it was nothing, and did it faster than an electric knife. I’d like to have that skill one day 🤣
I'm in the market for an electric filet knife. The R12 is a bit much for someone who only filets 12 or so fish a month. Do you have any recommendations for a cheaper model? $70 or less? At the moment I'm doing it with a Rapala 7" by hand. I have smaller hands than you and would not enjoy a large knife.
Hmm. That’s a tricky one at that price point. I’m going to be reviewing some other, less expensive knives here soon that will hopefully be better than this one was. I’ll let you know then!
