I saw G I blues at the theater when I was 15. I went out and bought the album and listened to it every night when I went to bed. OMG, I was so in love with him. I thought this was the most romantic scene in a movie I had ever seen. It’s my favorite movie that Elvis was in.
My favorite Elvis movie . Songs were great , acting and plot so-so , but the chemistry between Elvis and Shelley Fabares was dynamite . Great last scene , too .

This song is absolutely amazing and beautiful,❤❤❤❤ lv it he's so handsome and a beautiful is our Elvis, rest in peace Elvis the greatest singer of all times,❤❤❤❤❤❤❤xxxxxx
Elvis has been gone for over 40 years. I still remember that afternoon when I came home from summer school and saw the news of his death on tv. 40 plus years and still million of people visit his grave site every year. More people visit Elvis' grave than all the Hollywood celebrities, famous people and politicians put together. Singers like Micheal Jackson (not the knock MJ) and the rest of them had nothing on Elvis. MJ is certainly talented but still second to the king. There are at least 100,000 dollars in flowers left at Elvis' grave site every year. Over 600,000 fans visit his grave each year. They sell tickets to the grave site at $12 each in the early 2000. I believe it's around $47 per admission now. I guess if you spend thousands on plane tickets, hotels, food etc another $47 dollars is not an issue. No fan is going to object to that. They probably can increase that admission fee much more without complaints. (not that I want to see it) Most of the other celebrity grave sites have free admission. Still very few people visit them. Elvis' resting site is the most ever visited by fans. The admission brings in well over $20 million per year. Add that to all his paraphernalias and music rights, collectables etc. His daughter never have to work for the rest of her life. Elvis generates a lot more money 44 years after he death then most artists alive today. Elvis was genuine and real. He never forgot where he came from. He didn't let fame and fortune go to his head (like most celebrities) A down to earth man that the ordinary person can relate to. He treated people the way he would want to be treated. That's why he is so loved by so many. The reason almost no Singers today don't record his songs is because they can't do it better than Elvis. When you record someone else's song, you will inevitably be compared to the original. That's when you know how good he was. Listen to some of his songs like (can't help falling in love) that song was done by many artists including Andrea Bocelli. Bocelli is considered one of the best artist today. Go look it up on youtube and listen for yourself. There is no comparison. American idol has been on for well over a decade, they still don't have a contestants that comes even close to Elvis. Imagine if you had someone with his looks, singing talent, and oozes charisma? That's what an idol is about. Elvis is the original and the biggest "IDOL" of all time. That's not just coming from someone who has been an Elvis fan since the age of 10. He is simply the best. That's why people always go back to his music. Elvis was a true talent, not like so many that calls themselves singers today. I remember hearing Mariah Carey beating Elvis for the most records ever sold in the US REALLY? WHAT'S HER LEGACY? Elvis has sold more than 2.5 billion records worldwide. The single most EVER sold by one recording artist. How many people will be to attending Mariah Carey's grave site years after her death. Fans making unsolicited yearly pilgrimages. I think not. Most famous people and celebrities are forgotten (but for a mention in history) a few years after their passing. ELVIS is the only one that lives on for decades after his death. Let's be honest, the music he was provided with in some of those movies in the 60s were less than desirable material. Certainly not the kind of rock and roll that made him in the early years. But he did the best he could with them. Absolutely no one else other than Elvis could have pulled it off and done them as well as he did. Ironically I think some of his best recordings came out of the 60s, his voice was amazing in those years. He could sing anything. That was Elvis. They say (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery). Elvis has been and will always will be the most ever imitated in this world. There are professional Elvis impersonators, commonly known as Elvis tribute artists (ETAs) from literally every country on this planet. There has never be that phenomenon ever. It's only happened once, and it will almost certainly never happen again. If you go to some 3rd world country where the locals don't even speak English (as I have), the people there probably never heard of famous politicians or celebrities but as soon as you say one name "Elvis" they know who you are talking about. To be known worldwide by your first name along is really saying something. He will live on through his timeless music long after the rest of us are gone. I'm not a religious person but the one person I would like to meet in heaven (if there is one) would be Elvis. I would like to shake his hand, tell him how much he has affected me and been a part of my life. I'd never imagined I would say that about someone I've never even once meet before. Elvis' music and legacy will always be loved in the hearts of people around the world. Even though some of these people speaks no English. That is totally AMAZING, unheard of. He will always be the one and only. There will never be another Elvis. Of all the new singers today, I still always come back to his music. He is simply the best ever. Elvis has been dead longer than he lived, yet he generates 10s of million in income. Like I said, Elvis is making more money years after he died than the majority of the musicians alive today. Talk about a (lasting career). Unprecedented and never will be repeated in any professional (not just music). Fans of Elvis will be fans until the day they die, of that I have no doubt. Such was his magnetism and attraction of talent. What Elvis had was something that can't be learned or perfected with endless hours of repetitive practice like playing tennis, it came with him when he was born. Nature gave him a gift that in my opinion will never ever see again in our culture. Not even close He truly is one of a kind. His name will remain in the history of humanity. Like I said, looks, voice, charisma, talent, originality, uniqueness all in one package. Like a seed that grows and blooms into something that all our human technology, institutions and science will never replicate. What Elvis had cannot be taught, trained or practiced. There are thousands of good singers in the past hundred plus years since the invention of recording. A lucky few will have some hits, some really good singers will have dozen of hits over their careers. But to have hundreds of chart topping hits over a life time is unheard of. The only way we can live on past our physical body is to be recorded, and written down in the human archive. Few of us will ever live on forever in our history books. In the western world, when someone says the name Isaac Newton, Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Ludwig van Beethoven etc, people know axactly who your talking about. It's exactly the same with Elvis' name. His sound is just unique. I think there are singers that can match or exceed him in the voice department, but they just lack that sound that is universally appealing to the masses. As soon you hear it, you know it's Elvis. Elvis was a true social influencer a long time before it every existed. Decade before social media was "a thing". He influenced millions of people on this planet. He was a true. compassionate, empathetic person, we all heard of his generosities. I read many stories as a kid that really stuck with me. Most singers will be lucky if they get a brief mension in the history books. Elvis will be written in the chronicles of human existence for the 20th century. He is the single most influential singer in the archives of humanity. Those kpop singers that I call popsicle singer will be lucky if anyone remembers them for a decade. Never mind thousands visiting their graves every year and paying tribute to them decades after they are dead and gone. Addendum; The last time I checked, when a woman is divorced from her husband, it means she is no longer the wife. She becomes the "ex-wife" Prescella wants to be still call Elvis' wife because she likes the fame, fortune, attention and all the notoriety that comes with being (Miss Presley) If she didn't have an affair with Elvis' karate instructor, and run off with him, than things would be different.

He sang in front of half the planet that had access to TV. That's 3 billion and 1.5 billion ( 1 billion live and 500 million tape delay watched him. Today I bet that would be 5 billion plus today. No one will match him
Прекрасный дуэт из моего любимого фильма Солдатский блюз моего любимого кумира Элвиса Пресли. Часто пересматриваю этот и другие, полюбившиеся мне фильмы с его участием.
Early 1960's, 12 years old, sitting in a movie theater at Bolling AFB in Washington, DC, innocently holding hands with my 13 year old boyfriend. Movies were $.35, and we saw every single one of them, many starring Elvis Presley. I remember the words to every song, loved them all. Such precious memories. ❤
