Which one you like more? V4 RS or M1000XR? I owe Ducati desertX right now, but want also get a spots touring motorcycle. These are the two I’m debating on
I got one these when there was single digits of them on the road,, loved it, fun little bike, you can just throw around,, wish there was more I could have done to it, like mapping when I owned it.
As of July 2024, I have an open DNA filter and a Stainless steel decat exhaust system from Delkevic on my Hunter. The lines, together with the 9" / 225mm oval end can, make the bike look more old-school British iron. Bike is now much livelier and sounds great while returning between 10 and 14% better fuel economy. Would love to see what a remap can do to further improve such a set up.
Hi, there's two ways we can do this for you. If you are close enough, you can bring it to our Head office and Development Centre in Burnley, Lancashire. If not, we can do this on our ECU Flasher. Please call on 01282 779000 or message any of our social media platforms and we can help you out with this.
The elephant in the room is the top speed and rev limiters built into the ECU. Unless you can confirm you’re able to remove both of these I don’t think anyone will be forthcoming to offer their bike as a test mule for just changes to fuelling and ignition. Perhaps you could add some clarification?
So, a little more info, please? Im in the USA, will this cancel my warranty? Will the tune be deleted if the bike is at the dealer for service? Do I need to ship my ecu to you?
Don't understand why you're chasing power on the 1290? It goes like a mofo as standard, unless you're racing, it just seems entirely pointless for what you must have spent, but hey you only live once
@@andybeetson9117 the point is to smooth the bottom end, improve the power delivery, the throttle response, the ride-ability and minimise the latency. The little bit of power gained at the top end is just a nice byproduct.
@@BHPUK hi I’m in north Lincolnshire but well prepared to travel .. all I want sorting is the low speed snatch and the jerky throttle apart from that the bike is superb
Full pipe is up to you, different sound, different look and will liberate a little more power. A tune is definitely needed whether it is stock or with an exhaust system.
I have a Ducati supersport s with 21,000 on the clock, are you able to do them and what would I expect from a remap if you can? It has a termignoni exhaust fitted too.
If somebody enjoyed the size, style and sound of this bike but they didn’t need that much power, is it at all possible to detune the bike to produce less power? Cheers mate.
Need a comparison between the BHP tune 1250 (awesome) and the 1300 standard and BHP flashed. Will need a big difference to go from my flashed 1250 to a 1300. 😊
@bhpuk I have the same bike with similar mods. What I don’t understand is how a generic map (based on the mods) works, isn’t every bike slightly different? Or should I see this as something’s better than nothing? Also, do you have an EU warehouse? Import from UK is crazy expensive these days 😅
Hi Jeffie, you are correct, bikes are different and the software is different on each bike as well as the mods you have to go with it. Each file we do is written by us each time, we have done so many of these bikes, with every set up you can imagine that we know how the 690, 701 and 700 are set up from factory, how every software version is fuelling and how they will be running. Because this bike is fully developed by us, we can write you a file direct for your modifications and software version and still guarantee the result, we offer a 30-day no quibble money back guarantee on our bike maps which gives you a full month to test it out, we do this because we are confident in our service and can achieve the results without the dyno on developed bikes.
Perfectly fine, we can write you a file for that setup too as we have seen it plenty times before. ECU Flasher: shop.bhp-uk.net/products/ducati-ecu-flasher?variant=39883635687477
I rode the 1300GS, not twice, but drove along 5000km, because it´s mine, and after having 2GS in the past, and the 1250R last year, I can surely say, is the best by far in everything, as it should be. This 1300GS is my 13th bike and is also the best bike I ever owned. The power and torque, for now, is more than enough, even the throttle in dynamic mode is pretty reactive.
