@@peterdeimler4108 There was a center board in the second shot, and the charred wood in the third. Blanks are incredibly lethal at close range, watch the video Kentucky ballistics did on them.
Shooting these out of a smooth bore 26" fixed mod with just a brass beads I was get just about 2" at 50 yards with these and the actual federals. Great video bud!
@@theshotgunscientists ya I watched iv8888 video on completely filling a muzzleloader with powder, really the only way you'll damage the gun us with smokeless
In a previous video i asked you guys about that Panzer and i think i said a bought one but i was mistaken, i actually ordered a MAC 1014 Woody that got here yesterday and i put about 20 of those things through it with the ghost sight and cyl choke today and had results a bit worse than yours. So i cleaned it up and glued a red dot onto it and I'll shoot it again tomorrow. I've had super good results with those in my 870 Wingmaster police conversion with an ic choke. I was able to hit the plate at 100 yds and had touching groups at 40. I loaded em in fiochi 2 3/4" hulls with 33gr (and some with 30)longshot, FS12, .70 20g nitro card, 1/8"x3/4" rubber washer, .120 nitro card with a roll crimp which ain't much different than your load and yes they'll leave a mark 😂 Do you have an 870 with a police barrel? I'm confident enough with mine to hunt bear around here with those slugs and we usually get the buttheads that are relocated and have collars and tags here in "The Selkirks." Hopefully I'll get that MAC dialed in enough I can switch up with the 870 and get a kill with it this year. I'll have to look into my bag of tricks and see if i can invent a Benelli ic choke before i have to buy one. Great video BTW👍
No 870’s here although the Pardner pump is a clone of one. I’ve heard many people say these are amazing slugs and are super accurate, I was hoping we’d see that too. I’m not sure why we had this inconsistent of a grouping. We’ll be trying to Lyman .705’s hopefully this coming weekend though. We got rained out badly the last few days. I don’t think josh even has power right now, ain’t heard from him in a couple days.
@@theshotgunscientists that hurricane is something else! I whore myself out a little bit around here for the food bank but I think this batch of funds is going to Pinball Preparedness channel to help the folks down there. I don't think I'll be shooting today I've been fighting a pulled muscle in my left shoulder and the punishment I gave my right yesterday aggravated my left some more. Wishing you all the best from FEMA REGION 10.
It’s coming lol. For straight roll crimps I recommend the precision roll crimp tool which is a 4 pin design. I don’t think reloaders network has theirs anymore.
Y'all got a 16ga round ball mold?? I've always had good luck with rem green and yellowsbut you boys are showing us that round balls are pretty dang good!
@@michaeltaylor4984 If they’re powerful enough they will eject just fine. The issue is the shells themselves are too short for 99% of shotguns. I can’t think of any semi auto that will cycle mini shells.
Tyler, loved all your videos and the info I collected through the years. Can you help me with some info on how to assemble a load having a Winchwster WSF powder, A fiocchi FCFWA12H24B wad, new primed clear fiocchi Hull and using #0 or #00 buck. Thank you
Great video . 20 ga bore me too . They really should'nt . Good little shell . Bob Aronsohon. shot 160,000 crows with his . Look him up . He is in Kansas .
They look like the original brenneke classics. I thought brenneke had higher lead hardness? They are famous for high penetration for dangerous animals.
These are just original brenneke slugs yes and they’re just pure lead. They’re higher end slugs are hard though. Black magic, magnum crush, KO and such.
Remington took over a bunch of barnes production for barnes label but also sells them in green box with barnes brass load and bullet ......wonder if they kept that contract under federal?
Overton windex did and[ reveiw] with some quality tests. I will not repeat anything to fair and polite. It has been 4 months so improvements may have been made. I'm honestly looking to buy and new red dot and the video has made me do some more research. I do have and Burris and vortex now but want and heavy use option. And yes I do autobody and if a car sits for more than 5 days waiting on parts or approvals. Not only is there a bees nest there are two or more. Killed more bees this year than I can remember.
They said the carry handle was to high for optic usage. So they created the flat top ar upper and instantly put and riser and red dot back on the flattop. Personally I had and ar national match rifle with carry handle and rail adapter. Trading it off was and stupid move. With reloads it was sub moa if not half moa. It was equally easy to fire it with iron sights and a scope.
@@theshotgunscientists It is more like, why is Remington putting that number on the box to begin with? There is a cost to them to do so, so it only makes sense for them to put on data or marketing that is compelling enough to get you to buy it. Like, they must be awfully proud of that BC because I've never seen any other ammo maker cite BC on their shotgun ammo
I agree, I haven't been impressed with Remington ammo since I was a preteen. It really is too bad that they've sold ownership so many times. I'll still buy the -06 and bushmaster rounds. Anything rimfire is nothing great though.
My Compliments. I Like your videos. You are thorough but don't waste time. I like 28 gauge videos but you have made want to get 24 and 32 gauges as well. I even ordered your sweatshirt with the shotgun head stamps. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
