Brutal. On my 2018, after the third time of the corrosion coming back after repair, I sold it. Im hoping my 2024 JL does better. I’ll likely do a follow up video about it. Fingers crossed 🤞
Awesome! I’m glad you found the video helpful. I found it very, very functional and easy to put together and store away. Incidentally, I’m making a version two that is not as flexible but is a simpler build. Mind you this first one is simple enough. Have fun.
I just ordered this and I am anxiously awaiting it. I love your suggestions about improving it. I’m also thinking about removing the rear seats for more storage do you have any suggestions how I can make it sturdy enough if I do that?
If you remove the back seats, you’ll need to extend those middle vertical supports that sit on top of the folded rear seats. I would have three-quarter inch plywood pieces cut at the right length and screw them to the existing middle supports. I hope that makes sense.
@@CheaperJeeperTV it does I’m thinking of getting some angle brackets and maybe attach them to the extensions and use the seat bolt holes to bolt them down also.
We were just looking at these. We are building a 1500 sq ft extra garage (yeah, we have a car problem) and were thinking of something like this or going for used kitchen cabinets and painting them. These look really nice and it's nice that they come in different colors.
Hey Julia, I was considering used kitchen cabinets as well. There are lots of good reasons for going another route, but I felt that I wanted to go for this look and I thought it would make a good setup for the channel as well. I’m sure whatever you go with will be awesome. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Thanks. I never realized about it matching the house, but now that you mention it…it does!! I love having the storage cabinets. It helps keep the Jeep cleaning and maintenance items organized. I’m still working on the organizing though😆.
AWESOME solution, great ingenuity! I used a Home Depot scaffold for my hard top removal and storage, and that worked great, but it was still somewhat clumsy. This is the best solution I've seen. Add wheels to your structure for a final improvement....
Just for clarification ... " DJI Power 1000 has a battery capacity of 1024 Wh and can provide a stable output at 2200 W until battery runs out. [1] It has a max output power of 2600 W [2] and a peak output of 4400 W."
I love that you add all the small details to your videos like the confusing male/female connection. Most reviewers don't do that, they just want to advertise the product. A power station and fridge will be my next investment for sure. Thanks again Dino, Cheers!
this video is awesome. i got a 2dr sport and installed a rubi takeoff suspension following your video, its lays out everything needed and was great for me, first time doing a suspension mod so i was a lil nervous, but this walked me through it perfectly! thanks!
Awesome!!! This video was my first time doing anything like this also. I tried to make sure to show everything necessary. I'm glad the video was helpful. Cheers.
Finally, someone that does it right. I am flabbergasted at all the guys that measure the height of the headlights first then put the tape on the wall at that measurement. That just aims the lights straight out and if your vehicle is lifted, you're still blinding people. The line at 25 ft should be 36" up from the ground, REGARDLESS of how high your headlights sit. Thanks for letting people know the correct way.
@@CheaperJeeperTV That's impressive; maybe it's an example of overthinking things but in a practical test it performs just fine. Will try it with my hardtop 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the powerbank review, Dino! I recently bought another 2000w Jackery Explorer Pro but this product you are reviewing looks nice and powerful too for a 2-3 day camp trip. 🎉
I did this same idea with my extended cab pickup when I bought it in 04 . I leave the rear windows covered all the time. The interior looks like new because it keeps the sun out and I believe it is much easier to heat and cool as well. Need to make a set of covers for my new JL KS
That was a great episode thanks for the video . I’m getting a new jeep and I’m wondering if from the start would it be better to first sand any rust areas and then spray rustoleum rust inhibitor followed by that rustoleum paint stuff to cover it all and then do the fluid stuff you put on or would that be overkill ?
I believe I have seen videos online that suggest that you scrape off any rust before you treat the metal. So your plan doesn’t sound too overkill at all. Cheers
i bought the module to bypass the start/stop feature and it works great but getting to the wires pulled is definitely a "B". After getting it installed, I had made several road trips and it works perfectly every time!
Bought a new 2024. Got the grab handle try, and the rear side mounted ones. Both very nice. Also got one piece double side pockets that go over the shift area and it is also nice for storage, BUT, they stop the seats coming forward enough to really allow the full space opening (which isn’t much to begin with) for someone to climb into the rear seat. It ok for the 6 and 9 year old grandchild. But it doe limit the access more than normal.
Make sure you check for the corrosion bubbles. If it has it and they didn’t disclose it, I’d reconsider. See this video if you’re not sure what I mean. Curious, were you paid by DJI or given this unit for free to promote for them? This feels very "promotional" and sponsored content style review/overview when there's a lot of power bank units on the market right now that might out-perform this one.
The very first sentence in the video is “DJI has sent to me…” The capacity of 1024 Wh and constant power capability of 2400W are factual values. Feel free to compare them to other units on the market. Also, I’ve done similar reviews for three other batteries on the market. Feel free to watch them as well. 😊 Cheers
@@CheaperJeeperTV Whether or not they sent them to you vs. you being paid to review them or a channel sponsor is an important distinction. But I will go ahead and assume that "DJI sent them” means that you are contractually obligated to provide positive reviews. Surely you are aware of the current litigation and problems with other products/companies and RU-vidrs that is casting significant doubt on the impartiality of reviews like this one, hence my comment/question and reply. Generally I do like the content you've posted, it's been helpful when considering what to do or get with/for my 2021 JULR-D. 🙂
No. There is no contractual obligation to give a positive review. By my agreeing to receive the product, I agreed to make a review video. How and what I say, positive or negative, is based on my observations and experience at the time of the video production. Cheers

I believe I mentioned it is 1/2” Marine Grade Plywood. I have read that it should be 3/4”, but when I test fitted different thicknesses to fit under the door ledge, 1/2” seemed to work best. If I forced it, maybe 3/4” could have worked? Either way, the double layers of fiberglass and the coats of epoxy on both sides of the new floor made for a super solid new floor. Have fun.
Hey Randy, Thank you so much for your feedback on the video. The floor tiles actually helps make the Jeep garage nicer to be in. I’m glad you liked it. Cheers.
I have always enjoyed your videos! You inspired me to no build my Jeep and that it was possible to do without breaking my bank! Thank you for your post on my video tonight too! I jumped up and down in joy that you watched it and made a comment! You are the best!
