Dino....cool idea to protect the window switches. I never thought of that. Another idea I use on my wrangler is 3/8" (width) or so of black plastic tubing cut to fit in between the fenders and the body to protect from small pebbles getting into the gaps and scratching the paint. I got the rolls of tubing from Amazon. I copied the product description as follows: "Trim-Lok Rubber Tubing Seal - .276” Outside Diameter, .206” Inside Diameter, 25’ Length - Closed Cell EPDM Foam Tubing".

As a fairly new jeep owner and doing some basic research before my purchase- I have to admit that for the price I’m a little disappointed in some of the quality of the interior and a lot of the basic mods aren’t coming standard on these jeeps. Still love the jeep- just wish the price reflected a little more in the overall quality.

I thought just the opposite. I came from a Toyota Tacoma and the inside of my 2024, Rubicon feels like a Rolls-Royce!

I like the look and usefulness of these products. I'm always very careful about touching anything with wet fingers from the alcohol soaps. I have no bad experience but I've read where they can be nasty on our interiors. I already have door key covers and I love the difference they make. Good video, Dino!

I like the window switches. My 2019 Rubicon 2dr has the power door locks and the key hole in the back trunk door.

Cool idea. The writing on our ‘19 is already worn off. I think it’s just cheap and nothing to do with hand sanitizer as the writing on the switches on any of our other vehicles has not worn off. I only wish the red was a better match to the red disconnect. Looks like the two are way off. Thanks for the info 👍

Hi, Thanks for the feedback on the videos. The side step is fairly robust and would be ok on moderate trails. I kept and would use the original if I needed the clearance for sliding on side rails. I feel the steps would be a bother on tougher trails. Cheers

The window switch covers look like they say “AUTO” on all of them. Is that right? The rear windows aren’t auto down.

It’s really just a bad design having a small amount of rubber on the bottom of the switch for comfort. It just wears out from use. That’s all there is to it. somebody can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the JK‘s were just hard plastic without the rubber coating and were a little bit differently shaped. I don’t imagine that too many are relying on what is printed on the cover in order to use the window switch,so I don’t think that’s a big concern ;) maybe the simple act of applying the new cover that says auto on it, onto the rear switches, has now made those windows auto down as well? 😅 The rubber on the bottom in my 19 wore off as it will likely wear off on any similar coated Switch that gets a lot of use. I’ve still had occasion to use the key, so covering the keyhole wouldn’t make much sense for me Correct me if I’m wrong but at 3:53 or so did you call them light switches? 😊

Yep. I’d agree that it’s a poor design to have that soft rubber on the switches. Good catch at 3:53. 😆
