I have this fault can someone please help me! Ive changed the cooling fan for a brand new one - ive had 3 different and new relays and ive changed the battery, i still have the fault!!!! I dont know what to do or where i should look next - im lost!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Can this also be done on a 2013 Corsa D? I know the data is there via the 4 button press hidden menu; but that's a pain to do each time and the formatting isn't good etc
Thank you for this excellent video. The very hot weather put up the tyre pressures on my Astra and I had to reset the readings. The owner's manual for the Astra is an absolute disgrace. Nowhere does it say that you can scroll down under Settings to Vehicle and Safety. I have had 3 issues already where the manual was so vague that I had to resort to Google and RU-vid to solve issues. That shouldn't be necessary.

Have 2013 Peugeot 3008 1.6hdi and fan not working at all... tried it directly from battery and it's working...replaced control module, temperature sensor and checked the wiring but still nothing... Codes P0495,P0691,P0693 Permanent P0494 intermittent
Unfortunately I don't, I will pop down to a auto electrician local and show them your vid for reference tho. Fingers crossed they can fix it. What part needed replacing on the combo ?? Was it the full fan or just the module for it ? Thanks for the help and vid
Hi mate just an update, I had it checked out and the fan was working on both settings but he also said the resistor pack had power. Iv ordered a new resistor pack for the combo but at a loose end as to what the issue is. Do you think it may just be the pack or something else.
@@vauxtips6687 The dealership thought it may have just been because they had the wheels off to repair slight damage. I checked the pressures yesterday and according to my compressor they were actually a bit over the target pressure, so I let some air out and reset it, but it has still done it another 2 times. Will check the pressures again tomorrow and see what it says.
@@vauxtips6687 The pressures had dropped slightly below where I had left them. I topped them up slightly over target and it hasn't happened again over the last week. Probably jinxed myself now.
I have a 66 plate viva having the usual eps failier how do you remove the steering wheel on that I could only find one hole on it at the bottom of the wheel I'm assuming it's that unless you know diffrent? And the actual eps units are so expensive off as scrap I'm looking to get mine reconditioned with a life time warranty!

That is interesting, but I’m unsure whether this is an advert for your services as there appears to be no mention of the charge to do this and your location, but when people ask if they can follow the video, it appears this isn’t an OBD type tool DIY job. So could I ask , where are you located please and what is the charge for this ? Thanks in advance
@@vauxtips6687 I have checked all the fuses which are fine, I have used the Lexia DiagBox same as yours and used the actuator function the fan kicks in and spins. I have no warning lights on dashboard however Lexia DiagBox Fan Assembly P0493 not so sure what this could be now.
@@vauxtips6687 Yes no warnings on dash, Car drives normal no issues at all. I plugged car in computer for a random check then noticed P0493 which I deleted however kept coming back. The message I get is Twin Speed: Incoherence between the settings (no command) and cooling fan. Status Permanent fault. Done some more testing test 1: Fan unit high speed or Fan unit with variable speed - Fan runs I can hear it test 2: Fan Assembly low speed - Fan doesn't spin I can hear nothing I am now thing this could be some control unit that controls the speed.
Plastic conspiracy of hell. What am I going to do pay 2K to a main dealer ? I could extend the life of my T5 HVAC by injecting motor oil on the shaft bearing every 3 years it would run dry and blow the resistor. That was a 1 hour job.
This is very helpful. I have a problem with my blower motor, AC and air don't work with any fan speed or temp. Checked the fuse in the engine bay which seems fine. Any thoughts?
If I was to have an educated guess I would say the 2 wire connector will possibly be melted. I presume it’s a Corsa or 208? It will be located behind the trims on the centre console in the passenger side footwell (right hand drive car) Let me know…
Let it go to sleep overnight (doors locked with the key kept away) If not then you need to get it looked at under warranty. I’ve done a couple of IVI modules for this issue
I've had this same fault before on another 1.2 (108) and changed the fan resistor module which solved it. However on this car, the cooling fan is still not coming on. I've put direct power on to the fan which comes on. I've checked the loom connector and there's power there. The engine light has gone off, when I rescan the fault is still on ecu but won't clear. Coolant light came on so I stopped & the tank had coolant. When I opened it, it was like a jacuzzi 🤯. Any tips & help would be appreciated thanks.

Hello, I have the same error p0493 62, after turning on the fan via the diagnostic interface, it works at slow and fast speed. a new fan resistor was installed and the error still persists and the car is in limp mode. do it? Thank you for your help.

Got same corsa and i have digital speed but for my corsa it doesn’t show the road and car icons all it shows speed limiter icon where it should show road and car icons even tho i have it turned off , any idea how to get it back to the road and car icons?
