@@vauxtips6687 I have checked all the fuses which are fine, I have used the Lexia DiagBox same as yours and used the actuator function the fan kicks in and spins. I have no warning lights on dashboard however Lexia DiagBox Fan Assembly P0493 not so sure what this could be now.

So no warning lights on the dash? How does it drive? What’s the original complaint?

​@@vauxtips6687 Yes no warnings on dash, Car drives normal no issues at all. I plugged car in computer for a random check then noticed P0493 which I deleted however kept coming back. The message I get is Twin Speed: Incoherence between the settings (no command) and cooling fan. Status Permanent fault. Done some more testing test 1: Fan unit high speed or Fan unit with variable speed - Fan runs I can hear it test 2: Fan Assembly low speed - Fan doesn't spin I can hear nothing I am now thing this could be some control unit that controls the speed.

Any codes? What’s it saying on live data reference the fan etc

What codes do you have? Eliminated the resistor / fan module?

Unfortunately I don't, I will pop down to a auto electrician local and show them your vid for reference tho. Fingers crossed they can fix it. What part needed replacing on the combo ?? Was it the full fan or just the module for it ? Thanks for the help and vid

@@NurezAhmed the fan was at fault on this but as a precaution I replaced the resistor pack as well.

Hi mate just an update, I had it checked out and the fan was working on both settings but he also said the resistor pack had power. Iv ordered a new resistor pack for the combo but at a loose end as to what the issue is. Do you think it may just be the pack or something else.

​@@vauxtips6687I have the same problem in my vehicle as in the video I commented on. Could you write the exact solution to the problem? I have the same problem in my vehicle. When the fan turns on, it gives an engine malfunction light and a service request.

@@ufukcankaya7225 it’s difficult to diagnose without the vehicle with me. If you are happy then the replacement fan and fan module (resistor) is good? Then logically it’s either wiring or the engine ecu. The checks need to be made at the diagnostic purple wire Does the cooling fan operate?

@@vauxtips6687 The cooling fan is working, the fan relay is replaced with a new one with the same code and the same brand. My problem is that when I connect the car to the computer, it gives the P0495 error. The same code has been replaced with the new ECU and the ECU has been re-coded according to this vehicle. When the vehicle turns on the fan, the engine fault light on the screen has an exclamation mark ❗ and the word service. appears on the screen and after this text appears on the engine, the engine idle and sound become a little bit different. Is there a break in the purple cable that you split in the video or the reference values are different, should you correct those values from your brain?
