loved this faction in rome 1 and I'm trying to play them right now on hard but i just keep getting full stacks thrown and me and all three bordering eastern factions have declared war on me (pontus, armenia and the other minor faction.) about to run out of troops and lose my last two territories but maybe i can learn enough form this and make an epic comeback.
Thanks for this video! I tried lot of unit combination in different faction for my auto-resolve campaign. So far, the most stable one is spam 19 unit of spartan hoplite, or 19 unit of hastati/legionary for win auto-resolve. I tried to mix infantry, ranged unit, cavalry, artillery etc. but the more diverse my unit, the worse auto-resolve battle result lol. Cmiiw
Thats the first time i see the elephant hack and I've played this game since launch *´facepalm. Thanks for showing. Great tier list. Keep up the good work!
i mean you wait so much for the barracks, you then get the good army, then you still dont attack some minor like syracuse until they leave their town undefended and then you go for autoresolev lol. I dont get whats the point of these lets plays they are all the same, wait for barracks tech, delay, end turns, get the good army, then even then delay some more lol, its the 2nd faction im watching but it looks like youll play all of them in the same boring way by the way nothing wrong with your strat i actually play the same, its just the further delay even after you get your good stacks makes no sense, cheesing the AI for gold, all of that, least you could do is , once you get that good army, go seek for a fight lol...you eventually end up fighting their already damaged army
oh and one reason for your viewership could be the passive playstyle, turning in too many turns just waiting around, dodging fights you could win as well with some skill that you seem to have
Dogs annihilate skirmish cav and inflict some damage even handlers are already dead or retreat, very tactical weapon in player's hands. AI can't use em properly.
How do you get those archer units for Rome? I only have the Leves and Velites.. as you said, they’re trash. At the beginning you showed a page with a bunch of archer units
You need to build a auxiliary barracks in specific regions to get specific units. Use this link www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/faction.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_rome. Scroll down, click on the specific ranged unit you want, scroll down again until you see "Recruitment Requirement" . It will tell you exactly where the unit can be recruited and what tier you need.
@@The_Generalgr Rome has 2 type of army buildings, you have to build auxiliary military building in Kelt dominant places in order to have access to Kelt Auxiliary units.
I love how these episodes are bite sized, perfect for taking a break at work 😄 I was screaming "knife his ass" at the lamp burn on the dude when you first ran out of bullets lol
I feel as if the knife does less damage than the base game. I could be wrong since I haven’t played the game in a long time. I’m still hesitant to use it even though I should be using it more since ammo is more scarce.
Well to be fair I was playing it wrong, like I usually do in games. The original game everything is more optimized but the mod placement of things is weird. When you pick lock the first door, the building right in your face is where you should go but the idiot I am, sees the trap and doesn’t go around it. I basically made it more harder than it needed to be.
I was wondering will you still be doing total war (besides rome) or other strategy games? Or will you start exploring various kinds of games? (If do do you take requests?)
For total war games I will only play Rome 2 until CA makes a better one. I am currently trying out different things too see what sticks since I basically need to re build a audience. As for requests, I have done it in the past and it wasn't successful since it was all old games or games with a smaller audience than total war. Requests are out of the question for now but in the future I would revisit it.
I can't tell if you've played this before and are pretending to not have for clicks or if you're just a genius that figured out the slide skip first try 🤣 It took me 25 wins and probably 14 hours of playtime before I figured that out lol Good on ya
It was just a fluke, I was going to go back to the green container since I originally thought that was the right way to go. I usually take weird routes in games since I know developers hide things.
I haven't used all the artillery in the game nor would I ever but to sum up what I used: 1) Ballista = Good all around, best value, mobile, usually recruits tier 1 workshop or equivalent (worth getting) 2) Giant ballista = Fixed, best range, only good for siege assault, usually recruits tier 2-3 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 3) Onager = Mobile, worse than ballista, usually recruits tier 3-4 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 4) Large Onager = Mobile, most damage, usually recruits tier 3-4 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 5) Scorpion = Mobile, worst range and damage, usually recruits tier 2-3 workshop or equivalent, worse value than most ranged infantry (not worth getting) Overall I only get tier 1 workshops and I only use ballista's unless I can take it from a defeated army but even then I eventually swap it out. I don't play multiplayer either.
For auto resolve quantity beats quality and manual battles quality beats quantity. On legendary the AI will always have a 2:1 army advantage over you. I did a video on how I build my armies on legendary which if you haven't watched it yet, you will find it very useful: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jGu7l9P_k4k.html&ab_channel=NikTrajkovic
