In this video I will talk about the three ranged types and their overall usability. There are some ranged unit that are clearly better than others so results will vary. This is based of me playing 1300+ hours of legendary campaigns.

Can you do a video on the best/worst artillery in Rome 2?

I haven't used all the artillery in the game nor would I ever but to sum up what I used: 1) Ballista = Good all around, best value, mobile, usually recruits tier 1 workshop or equivalent (worth getting) 2) Giant ballista = Fixed, best range, only good for siege assault, usually recruits tier 2-3 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 3) Onager = Mobile, worse than ballista, usually recruits tier 3-4 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 4) Large Onager = Mobile, most damage, usually recruits tier 3-4 workshop or equivalent (not worth getting) 5) Scorpion = Mobile, worst range and damage, usually recruits tier 2-3 workshop or equivalent, worse value than most ranged infantry (not worth getting) Overall I only get tier 1 workshops and I only use ballista's unless I can take it from a defeated army but even then I eventually swap it out. I don't play multiplayer either.
