My name's Lucia and I'm Spanish living in the UK. I am a first time mum working as a Data Analyst with a background in studying Maths and Physics and I also have a degree in journalism.
My videos are about new mum life and work life, but also other lifestyle topics I enjoy such as fashion, beauty, books, movies, tv, and theatre.
Being autistic, I've found working and doing my exams/EMAS at home has been the best thing for me. In an exam room, my anxiety and depression would be a lot worse than normal, as a disabled student I was granted an exemption from attending an exam centre. I was awarded my History degree two days ago. 😁
Hi there, I’ve been making videos in Spanish because I live in mexico now for 30 years. I would love to collaborate and talk to you maybe do a video together.
This is exactly what is happening with me right now Lucia. I did my 1st Degree in Accounting in Kenya and I am always very passionate about Aerospace engineering. I am also in my final year in my MBA in Germany currently. I am thinking of which country I should move to where there is flexibility to start pursuing my 2nd degree while working as an Accountant to take care of my daily needs as well. Any help with a piece of advice please. Thanks so much for your video Lucia.. It's now 6 years old and it's still very relevant.
do you think theres a chance if i dont have a math/cs degree that i could get a Data Analyst role or is t way too competitive? got a degree in adult nursing and become a nurse but wanna transition to DA
Hi, Can international students do this from their country ? And also Can i get directly into 3rd year if i have a HND in Mechanical Engineering (240 credits)?
I work in university recruitment, and yeah... It doesn't have peoples best interests at heart. I think young people should be encouraged to get out there and experience life before they get a degree.
Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you for sharing. I would like to ask you something that whether the assignments of the course S111 involves presentation. It is because English is not my mother language and then especially I am bad at speaking English.
Thanks for the useful info! I wanted to ask which modules on the programme actually count to the final degree mark? Do all the modules you study across the programme count to your final grade or only the ones in stage 3?
Thank you for your video. I had the opposite problem. I always knew I was a creative person and has always enjoyed Art. But in school I was also very good at science and thought that science would give me more stability in terms of careers. A year ago (as I was about to graduate), I had a wake up moment where I realised Art is my passion. I ended up getting a job as an Art technician in a school but I don’t like it. The aspects of Art being quite an unpredictable career income-wise made me think I needed a more business focused career and demotivated me from drawing as a hobby. But today I spent some time thinking about what I want to do, I think I want to do another degree again! I might change my mind again, just as I did throughout the year but I feel motivated again. I do have some question though. What is your current job? Is it full time or part time?
I want to get this degree for job purposes(and the flexibility it'll provide within the job market) but I'm worried employers won't see it as a "real" degree. Can you or anyone else give me their thoughts and experiences please Oh and I'm South African
@@bonganisomba5939 Good morning, it is accredited. I saw on the website. My main fear is employers not taking it seriously Edit: I really just want a South African who got a degree from them to speak on it really
I'm heading in to MST125 next semester, and really enjoying this course and the whole experience of studying again. I'm doing it now in my early 50's after ~30 years of working as a BSc/PhD chemist, and it is a breath of fresh air for me. Congratulations on completing it ....I hope to say the same in 3-4 years time. I'll be planning a further degree (BSc or MSc who knows...) for retirement....a treat and a way to keep active post 65.
Great review. Fluid mechanics exam was same for me, scraped a pass after doing very well in TMA s , didn't recognise half the exam, very stressful, same with Electromagnetism Sm381
Hello Lucia, why did you choose "Mathematics and Physics" instead of just pursuing a "Physics" degree? While both degrees involve a significant amount of mathematics, the Physics degree tends to have a stronger emphasis on the physics aspect. I am asking because I am considering starting a Physics degree this year. I have already completed a bachelor's degree in Material Engineering at a "normal university," but it's not really my area of interest. Thank you 😁
But, what's the issue with having all the videos bilingual, Spanish and English spoken I mean? That's the case with my cooking and all my other 3 channels. Soy chileno, I speak Spanish, but I live in Canada. I have people from both, but majority Spanish speakers. I would not cook the same meal to make videos in English, and then another one in Spanish lol... Do you think there's a problem with the bilingual option I use? I have CC or the transcript for everything I say in the video, in English and Spanish, so you can always have the option to just read it.
After BSc Agriculture engineering, am going back for BSc mechanical engineering because I couldn't be registered as a mechanical engineer despite the two Fields being so much related
Hi, are there exam centres in Scotland or will I have 2 go 2 England ? Were there any tutorial based assessments in your BSc Degree where there are no exams ? I feel that tutorial based assessments takes away from the exam experience & makes it a lesser degree...😢
