Great vid! I’m going to see these rock Gods this month on the 15th out in Wendover Nevada. I’m stoked! I’m a big fan and never seen them live. Better late than never!
People got to understand that Steve can't sing anymore and he's retired since 2014, get over it! This Kansas Line up is pure fire and they're doing it very good
Every lineup of Kansas still produces a great sound and this one is no exception. One of the tightest bands of its type, ever. Keep it up and thanks for the inspiration!
This lineup is great. A revival of the true Kansas spirit. The lead vocals are clean and the emphasis true …. No hijinks, no mindless movement just pure Kansas sound and grass roots rocking!!!!!!
Other than Steve and Robby, the band lost two key players Rags and Zac. Brislin has come a long way and NOW looks like a rock performer, Ronnie is sure the marketing phase of this.
I've seen Kansas, I think, 13 times and usually they were pretty great, but I'm impressed with the lineup they have now. It would have been great if Steve Morse had stayed longer but sadly the magic ended at that point. I can't wait to see this lineup in the near future. They are quite impressive!!
I looked for them in Rolling Stones Encyclopedia of Rock and they aren’t even listed. And there’s 1000’s of musicians and bands in there a ton of obscure ones that no one’s heard of. Doesn’t surprise me, Rolling Stone sucks and I’ve heard that they have a lot to do with the hall of fame choices.
I recall seeing them on their "Point of Know Return" tour where they played two shows at the Fabulous Fox in ATL (1977). On their last song "Sparks of the Tempest" , (before their encore), they, one by one, walked off the stage and the song was still playing/looping. Anyone who saw that tour experienced the same. It was intentional and quite surreal. You can hear the repeating ending in this video at 46:24 . The original members of Kansas again attended the Fox in Sep, 1978 but this time they didn't play. They were at the Fox to see the amazing Frank Zappa (can you blame 'em?).
Steve Walsh or not .these guys are still keeping this music alive .so great .and really sound pretty good for not having many original.members .singer doin ok as Walsh not easy to do. So give him credit for helping to keep kansas alive . I’ve seen kansas at least 10 times since the 70,s always great band .and always get your moneys worth .every show. Rock on .
The search for a replacement should have gone the same way Journey did it. There are Steve Walsh sound alikes all over RU-vid. No offense to Ronnie, he has a great voice but he doesn't have the pipes of soul that Steve had.
Favorite band of all time. Titans of prog rock. I was lucky enough to see them on the Audio Visions tour with the Original Six, and have seen them twice since, including this past March in New Haven. I've never been disappointed. That said, there's just something about the Original Six that can't quite be matched…
Love Steve but Kerry is the soul and spirit of the band. Anyone can find vocalists on par with Steve (like John Elefante) but Livgren's songwriting prowess and evocative lyrics can never be equaled. Ever. After he left, the music was still good but not on the stratospheric levels that he elevated the band to.
Singer needs to go!! He doesn't feel the music. He is mechanized, up there for a pay check🤑!! I rather see Walsh back, although he is struggling😐! Walsh has passion, energy, and Is the 'music'. This singer is mediocre, and he brings nothing to the progression of Kansas. His voice does not fit 'live'. To be fair, I have not heard the 'studio' material, but Walsh will always be missed😍 Thanks Steve for Your Love to the fans, and the dedication🤩🤙!! Await Your Return!!
Great sound quality! Helped that you were behind the sound board. I’ve seen these guys over 30 times and they never disappoint! They are overdue for the RRHOF!
Way overdue !!! I recently promised myself to write the RRHOF. They should be ashamed for not having this amazingly talented and iconic rock band nominated when there are so many other non-rock musicians that have been inducted. Unfortunately, Robby is no longer with us. Hopefully, he will be watching from above. Not sure what the RRHOF is waiting for.
