You talking on how the landing smelled took me back to my childhood on my dad Buch Wylies logging operations. A man working in the trees from 4 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m would be so dirty only his eyes and teeth would be bright and clean...but they smelled so good. Just like all those things in the woods and the trees. I havnt come across a man like those from my childhood in a long long time. Thank you for takeing me back to those days.
It’s sad the public school system only teaches about black slavery and doesn’t teach that native Americans took and sold slaves even owning black slaves later on. It’s why there’s black cherokees etc. I remember some tribes stopped letting blacks join once they had a casino and there were lawsuits of African Americans suing native Americans wanting to be or remain Native American and no longer African American. Really goes to show things aren’t black and white like schools teach.

I thought that some of the Battalion made it to Pueblo, Colorado to squash the whiskey trade that Charles Bent complained about to the U.S. Senate in 1842.
Sounds like he fuckin sold out and gave in to the white man. Sure glad he decided his heritage wasn't worth preserving but we're all so glad to be living in this bullshit world. Those of us that can be lucky enough to get recognized and get medical or a casino. The smallpox vaccination was good looking out. Give respect when it's due.
I have a friend that his parents owned an 18000 Acre ranch in South East Utah that we deer hunted on for years ,he found quarts arrowheads there in the 1970s everything around there was sandstone or petrified wood but that quarts probably came from El Dorado county
