You were one of the few black people to start a business from scratch Mr Mashaba in1980s in Hammanskraal and it grew to be an ointment and hair products factory right at the peak of Apartheid, of course certain Afrikaner business person gave you a leg up unfortunately it was destroyed by fire. You did not sit on your laurels you woke up and and you were back on your feet again (business wise). You have shown in your short stint as Jo'burg mayor that you were keen to clean up the city and the problems of uncontrolled immigration. You demontrated that you were a 'no nonsense mayor' and a leader with ethics and principled man until you fell out of favour with the DA. Your life is indeed inspirational. However, you lost it when you started to pander to the whims of those who have arrogated to themselves the right to choose who should be the right leaders of South Africa, which leaders or parties must be in coalition talks, etc, you may dislike Zuma and MK party but he is a force to be reckon with. Zuma represents a formidable constituency which is also tired of the ANC government. When that constituency exercise their democratic choice in the form of Zuma then that is a problem. So don't tell us about democracy then if you dismiss other groups because what they represent and aspire differs from what you stand for.
