So are you saying that if we leave the root the celery will regrow? How can we harvest seeds for the next season?
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 3 дня назад
Yes, celery can regrow from the base if you leave the root in the soil. As for seeds, you can let the plant flower and dry to harvest seeds for the next season. Good luck 💚
@artstamper316
@artstamper316 3 дня назад
@@DinasGarden Hmmm. I let my celery grow since May but it never flowered. How long does it usually take?
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 2 дня назад
@@artstamper316 It’s possible that the temperature isn’t warm enough yet for your celery to flower. Celery tends to flower when exposed to warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours. If it’s still relatively cool where you are, that could be why it hasn’t flowered yet.

I noticed you didn’t slant the jar while keeping in the dark. I tried to do some but they turned brownish and smelled slimy. Don’t know where I went wrong .
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 6 дней назад
Although it’s possible with some seeds, like peas, to germinate without slanting the jar if you’re careful with rinsing and draining, it’s usually better to keep the jar at an angle to ensure good air circulation.

Yes, you can replant the body part! Make sure to let the cut area dry out for a few days before planting it

Spinach can sometimes take longer to germinate. Make sure the seeds stay moist and at the right temperature.

What is the soil to use?
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 11 дней назад
Use a light, well-draining soil mix like a seed-starting mix or a combination of peat, perlite or vermiculite, and a bit of compost to provide nutrients and good moisture retention
@Katana666D

No meter how deep it will come out , it will just take longer and the Stimm will be slim , unless you stick it to the very bottom

About how big would you say the containers are? The ones they end up growing in until harvest? 😊 thanks so much!
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 21 день назад
The containers should be at least 12 inches (30 cm) deep to allow the beets to grow properly until harvest. I usually use containers that are at least 10 gallons in size. Good luck! 💚

it is not at all necessary to have the seed in water. Just plant the seed directly in soil with fertilizer and keep it moist, ideally start in the summer and have it outside in the sun
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 21 день назад
You’re right, planting directly in soil works too. The water method can sometimes speed up germination and lets you see the roots develop clearly.

@J61-y4h
@J61-y4h 23 дня назад
I've done this for years with tom plants in both containers and raised beds. And get tons of toms. Now if the plants are diseased some would say to not reuse it but I just make sure none of the leaves and such stay in the soil....and reuse it.

@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden 21 день назад
You can grow it as a decorative plant indoors or transfer it to the garden, where it can grow into an avocado tree. While some trees may bear fruit, grafting is often recommended to improve the chances of fruit production.

Where to place that seed pot? Sunlight?
@DinasGarden
@DinasGarden Месяц назад
To ensure the best growth for basil, place the seed pot in a location where it receives at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. If you're growing it indoors, a sunny windowsill or under a grow light will also work.
