Yummy! I love sautéing my swiss chard with some minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, chicken bullion, and pepper flakes. And then top it off with a nice sunny side egg and rice. 🤤
Oh, that's almost what we did with our last yield - we even filmed it! Check out our video here: ru-vid.com4XybaREsuv8?si=T83m7JiobO2zxIwh I'll have to try adding a sunny side egg and rice next time!
Hi, thank you! 💚 To keep Swiss chard growing in winter, choose cold-hardy varieties, provide sunlight, mulch, water carefully, use cold frames or covers if needed, harvest outer leaves, and monitor for pests and extreme weather.
Hi! That sounds fantastic! 🌱 The Rhabard and Bright Light varieties are excellent choices. Best of luck with your Swiss chard seedlings - I'm sure they'll thrive! If you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask. Happy gardening! 🌿🌱🌼
I plant mine in peat pots...and then use them as the "spike" in the center of flower containers. Because they are so limp for the first few weeks of their life, it works best for me when I transplant them to the pot. I am able to buy the red stalked variety in seed packages, which look great as the centerpiece. As they grow, I use the outermost leaf
Hi, Growing Swiss chard indoors year-round can be challenging, but it is possible with the right conditions. You'll need adequate light, which can be provided by grow lights if natural sunlight is insufficient. Maintaining a stable temperature and humidity is also important. Swiss chard is a cool-season crop, so it may require additional attention during hot summer months. With proper care, you can enjoy a continuous harvest, but it may not be as vigorous as outdoor growth.
Although Swiss chard known as a heat tolerant plant, 100°F its definitely too hot weather for it. Swiss chard grows best when temperatures do not exceed 75°F. We highly recommend to plant it in the early spring or late summer. Lettuce is also a cool-weather crop that thrives in the temperature range 60-65 degrees F.
@@anantameier8270Hi! I live in Arizona, and it's known to be pretty hot here. Currently, it is April, and we've already started hitting 90+ Fahrenheit. I've been lucky so far. My Swiss Chard is producing heavily. I placed mulch all over my swiss chard to help retain moisture and regulate the soil's temperature. That seems to be working great for me so far.
I appreciate your attention to detail! These scissors have been my trusty gardening companions for a long time, enduring the challenges of beet harvests and more! 😄 Keep an eye out for the upcoming videos, and you might discover our new gardening scissors 💚
Thanks for your input. The title highlights the ongoing harvest potential. We filmed three harvests, but it doesn't mean it's the limit - Swiss chard allows repeated harvests throughout the season. You can try it by yourself 👍
