Did you figure out the trunk /tonneau rub/catching for when you have the top down and want to open the trunk without scratching the tonneau rear edge. ??
I like this little beast. The only compromise they made to fit the bigger motor was losing the mode change buttons. I do change modes for delicate fasteners. I can live with the mode change for the bonus of turning lug nuts with a 3/8. Yeah, it's a battery burner but who uses full beans with the little battery?
i watched this and all you other wrx videos when i bought mine back 2016, today i finally got sick of replacing tpms sensors after 8 years and did this. what a relief not to see that light anymore.
So it took 3 days? Starter removal was a PITA, but everyone says that. Any secrets there? Sounded like you never completely pulled the starter out of the area. Could the removal of the torque converter to flex plate bolts be accomplished solo by crawling out, rotating the engine, and crawling back under? I need to do this job coming up here and only have my wife (her older 2014 4R). Takeout trans with 43k miles has been bought for $800. Current trans (365K miles) developed delayed engagement into 1st after harder stops from 30+ mph.
Yeah, I did a whole video on how to remove the starter tips and tricks. I have a really good hack video on how to do it. As far as a single person, I think you are probably gonna need at least one more person because you visually have to look at the bolts so if your wife just slightly rotated, the engine crank till you got to the right spot that would be helpful. Then the only other thing she’d have to do is just kinda hold the ratchet on the crank. So it’s not like you need a ton of strength or anything. You just need a human. Then you’re also going to need a very, very fine tooth ratchet, and a longer one at that. Also make sure to find the black nut as that is the first one on the torque converter/flex plate and that is the one that helps everything get aligned when you tighten everything back up.
Just an FYI. This new impact wrench will only perform at its peak with the new 5.0 battery. Torque Test Channel tested this tool, and every battery from the m12 line up from 2.0 to the 6.0 they all performed noticeably HORRIBLE compared to when used with the 5.0. Like the 6.0 battery did worse than the 2.5. Basically the 5.0 was the only battery that was able to get it to reach its claimed torque numbers. Every other battery was not able to do so.
thanks for the info on the 2562-20 as i was on the fence on either getting the 1/2" vs the 3/8" and you answered that question........great video and topic...
It's a bit ironic to talk about people tricking others with lower-spec cars, but then going and using wrap to fake carbon fiber because you don't want to pay for the real stuff. lol
You might want to actually use them for a week or more before “reviewing” them. This is “I got sent two chairs from the manufacturer and I’m going to record myself opening them and sitting in them for 2 minutes”. Low/no effort man, you can and should do better. 😢
Not paid but they did send me out. Never driven one at all so I didn’t really throw out any cons. Biggest con to me is the CVT transmission option and the fact that is unibody so not body on frame.
How you liking those Cartbotechs? Running Carbotech Panthers on my E30 M3... Stops great! But, man, it sounds like a frieght train coming to a stop. "Schreeeeeeeeeeee"!
So you were just rest your foot on the clutch pedal the whole time? I don’t think you understand how a dead pedal works. You put your foot on the clutch when you need to use the clutch when you don’t use the dead pedal. This is a rip on an automatic car, but still a stupid comment. You’re probably one of those people that put in the clutch every time they hit the brakes, huh?
