If you had a roll of Flex Tape could that have been used to wrap around the brake line and a couple of wire ties on each side of the hole be used to give you rear brakes for the ride out?
@@AG87BlkLX no, because there was air in the line and most of the fluid had already leaked out unfortunately. We would have needed more brake fluid on the trail too.
@@leonajameson8902 thanks! I've been busy having some fun this summer. 🤟 I should have a bunch of new videos posted soon from it all. I have a ton of editing to do. 😄
Love the video !!! ... yeah, thank you Pete for borrowing me your 300 : i converted to a "TPI worshiper" 30 seconds into the ride ! The funny part is that literally a week later Don (our great leader here on the ride) sent me the link to the 300xcw that was just listed 30 min previously while i was driving for work... so i pulled over , looked at it and bought it right then & there ... great timing & a great deal on top of that 😊
Tried zooming in using the OnX app and not able to find these. I've ridden a ton of MTB in the area and have staged at that Cottonwood parking lot (for an enduro) any chance you'd share the route/tracks?
Nice video! Visiting from Colorado and looking forward to riding this park. The black looks pretty mellow for its rating. Best wishes and happy trails dude!
How many dings did you put in your pipe?! I did Yamaha, Malcolm and Redonda a few weeks back. Brutal in the heat. Left our vehicles at about 8:30 AM and didn't get back to them until 6:30. Ran out of gas twice...learned my lesson on that...thank you KTM on the new 2024's...some tough hill climbs that are pretty darn relentless but overall fun ride day. Great job!
the dinette for the bed is the ideal setup while also being able to carry dirtbikes, IMO. Having that seating and table for when the bikes are unloaded is really nice. I wonder if I would have enough space to do that in a smaller van (econoline, express) hmm
@@michaelherrickmusic The best thing to do in that case is measure it all out and mock it up with cardboard. It gives you a good idea how much space you'll have.
I'm hoping to be in the market soon for a sand car. Doing some research I came across your tech 3 video and I followed the rabbit hole to this car it looks amazing! are there any other brands you can recommend? My future car will live at Glamis hoping to ditch the SXS soon looking for a duner car that can eat up the whoops too. I could careless for the drag racing I do love jumping but nothing crazy. I was looking at a 2 seat funco gen4 they seem awesome do you have any experience with them?
I want to do a V8 street amd dirt bettle but don't know what trans you all use in these cars? Maybe you could help me with that with a link possibly. I've never delt with anything like this but my daughter loves the old Volkswagen's so I'm thinking of building something with a ls or just a dressed up 5.3.
I’m visiting St. Anthony’s in a few weeks… it’s been warm up here in Idaho as well,100+, so hopefully it’ll cool down by the time we head out. See you next summer!
@@tborkman thanks. I'll check it out. I do quite a bit in the summer to stay busy... hitting the mountains, camping, boating etc, but I just really miss the dunes! 😄
Legit amazing! I really enjoyed this video y’all were killing it! A friend & I are flying from Atlanta to get this experience. Clearly we won’t be exploring the advanced areas you all were in, Bt are there areas safe for beginners? How do we keep from getting lost?
Nice video. You hinted that the 500 is more wheelie happy than your 300. I know it's been a couple years but how do you rate the 500 vs the 300 on the singletrack trails (i.e. seat height, weight, etc.)?
@@corpeningd honestly they perform dead even on regular singletrack. It's just a matter of preference. If it's gnarly I prefer the 300 but the 500 is a great all around bike that can handle tough or flow singletrack or even highway. 300 is a bit lighter and nimble and it shows in the rough stuff, but that doesn't mean the 500 is cumbersome at all.
Great videos! I am considering using my Garmin GPSMAP 67 for navigation, similar to your setup. How are you liking using your Garmin handheld for navigation? Any reason you would prefer that over the Trail Tech Voyager Pro?
Thanks! I like the Garmin because the rugged buttons and simplicity for when I'm following a track. I've never used a TT Voyager Pro but they look really nice, just kinda pricey. I'd have to buy the mount for each bike too adding even more cost.
Hey man I love the vids we are big st Anthony duners we live in Rexburg and it would be sweet if you bought land up here to come dine with us ST ANTHONY IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE😀
@@LiveLikePete sorry should have been more specific. I looking to see what you did structural underneath the wall to support the L Track where it goes across the "window" area. Thanks
@@johncasto8941yep, it's all on the blog. I dive in a little deeper into the structure for the L track in this post (which is mentioned and linked in the post that I linked earlier) livelikepete.com/adding-upholstered-wall-panels-in-our-sprinter-campervan/
