Part of the crew headed out for a short but sweet dune trip to Dumont Dunes. We were looking forward to epic weather but Mother Nature had different plans. What looked like another ruined trip turned out much better than expected. This turbo Honda Desert Dynamics 2 seater is pretty much my dream buggy and I am so loving it! She rips!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a duning video where the tires look wet. Great video again Pete! We’ve had an unusually wet, cool and cloudy spring here in St George and I watch the Vegas weather so know you have as well. Now we have Easter weekend storms coming in! 🤬🤬😎

Thanks! I noticed that too about the tires. I think these tires are usually a bit shiny probably because they're so "polished" from the sand. 😄

Good times! Older I get the more I like bad weather, means there's going to be less people. Having the rear facing camera (or edit) helps so much, I almost can't watch videos with just the one forward dashcam shot.

Epic as always Pete. Do you guys ever run closer together and overtake each other? I’d like to see that, and maybe some ground shots. Also big jumps never get old. At least with the wet weather your water catchments are filling. Here on the east coast of Australia we’ve had a fantastic summer, lots of clear days without too many scorching hot days.

Thanks. No, at the speeds were usually going, passing is pretty dangerous so that's a no-no in our group. 😄 We're not big jumpers either. That always leads to broken stuff. We just like to go fast.

Loved the ride vid without music. Could hear that turbo'd honda sing! Sounds like you got into fourth quite a few times. Do you change tire pressure dry vs. wet?

Thanks. It's a lot easier to edit the videos without worrying about music! Lol I kinda like it better too. I'm in 4th quite a bit in this car. It's actually geared a bit different than my last car so 4th is much more used. I usually don't change tire pressures even when wet. I just try to baby the throttle a little bit. This day was damp but the sand still had some give.

Damn looks a little bumpy, we were dowh the end of Feb/beginning of March, the wind was crazy but the sand was smooth

Yeah the dunes got a bit churned up from the damp sand but it wasn't bad especially with the new car. It rides really nice even in the chop.
