how do you water the micro soil blocks? I live in CO, 30% humidity here is common. this micro block will dry out within a day or two if not to water. thx
I have mixed opinions on this... I don't like how they are in cages as rabbits should not be kept in those although this is one if the cleanest rabbitorys I have seen.
Trainition AZ the last buck show this video is light gray flemish gaint not checker gaint don't know tell you he was but sadly mix up.. breeds of rabbits you look it up on arba breed club link if need see it for your self ..
TA - your herd great sire is Flemish gaint. His color is chinchilla .. he is not checker gaint I us raise checker gaints and flemish giants they both show breeds ..
I think it is a serious shame that you have let the haters beat you down. Every time someone like you succumbs to negative comments and just gives up just makes it harder on those of us that are trying to raise meat rabbits. You need to learn to stand up for yourself and believe in what you are doing.... In all things in life. Yes, there will be people that disagree with what you are doing but no matter what you do in life you can never please everyone so why try? Just do what you feel is right for you, believe in it and do it to the best of your ability. I came to your channel hoping to buy some meat rabbits from you.
did you build the cages with the drop down bunny bix or did you buy them? I am thinking on getting a breeding trio or quad and wondered if you might share the building plans for them
If you clean the cage frequent enough/get rid of their pee and poop, etc... They stay healthy... Common sense. Please let me know how much it would be to adopt every single suffering bunny of yours? Thanks!!-Sincerely, person who CARES about bunnies :)
+Erika Rabbits do not develop Sores from sitting on Wire floors, They do however develop Sores from sitting in Solid bottom cages, Forced to sit in their own urine and feces!
I hate the rabbits for meat business a lot (B/c I LOVE BUNNIES) but from what I see, those rabbits are relatively happy. Honestly, as long as their lives are happy, I have no problem with it. Good jo!
thanks for the video, I have just started using the mini's, and find promix too course for small soil blocks, I am going to make my own mix, and screen it really small, but I'm not fond of the mini's thus far.
NO! Do NOT 2 females in a single hutch! They will fight. You can spay them, and go through a long bonding process to make it possible, but don't just throw to random does together
They would be fine if they were raised together. Once you start breeding them, they more than likely will hate each other from then on. I keep 2 sisters regularly until I breed.
I haven't built my cages yet but I'm debating between drop in and drop down nest boxes- which did you prefer the most? Right now I'm leaning towards drop down, but if they are a lot more work, I'm OK with the drop ins.
The people complaining about the cages being horrible and the conditions being horrible... Do you know what they do in factory's? The ones that just happen to put food on your table? If you knew you would call these cages the greatest ever. In factory's their treated horribly with little food or water. The only time their held is when their about to be slaughtered. So this guy is doing a good thing providing good meat without the chem. he's caring for his rabbits before their slaughtered at least. So don't talk shit about the cages or how their treated thank you :)
Justifying bad treatment by someone else's worse treatment. Well, child abusers are fine, at least that just abuse the children, don't rape them too. And animal abusers are fine, at least they let them live. Give me a break. These cages are too small, wire bottom, and just cruel. Factory farms are much worse, but that doesn't make this ''great'' it just makes it less shitty.
Nice rabbitry! I like those lower level nesting boxes but agree on your comments that it consumes a lot of room. Still tho, I might have to keep that in mind for something later, going to make up some of those hay bins right now for my rabbits!
***** No, I'm not going to put in plywood, they'll eat it, and it's held together with glue which is not ideal for them to digest. No, I'm not going to put in linoleum, they'll eat it and its made of God only knows what chemicals and is not ideal for them to digest. It seems like you don't really don't know that much about raising rabbits, please stop giving really horrible advice. They don't "need a lot of space" and they are just fine with the wire cages. They usually sprawl out on the wire floor, not the ceramic tile they have available to protect their feet that you have incorrectly assumed are so fragile.
