When a steering wheel is seized on like that the easiest way to release it is to.... Screw the nut back on for just a few threads and then give the nut a good hard tap with a hammer and then it should come off

Dang spring ride rears. That's a rough ride. I have a '93 9800 that means it's front axle back and double bunk. Really ugly, but those spring in the front are a rough mf'er to drive.
