Paraiba is no longer available, its been 3 years since you made this video and its now being sold for hindreds of dollars on ebay, just like stella..ah so frustrating
I wear Cruz del Sur 2 and Via Cavour which suppose to be female leaning . All I have is unisex fragrances in my collection so I don’t even bother with this idea of men can’t wear female leaning perfumes
I thought it was just me when it came to the Yuzu. That’s a very unique fragrance that I can’t tolerate. I can’t put my finger on what note(s) turns me off
I'm a straight guy in my 50s and I've worn D&G light blue for women (reminded me of ADG & Versace Eau Fraiche) and CK obsession for women (it's like the intense version of obsession for men). I just hide the bottles.
Thanks for this amazing video!! Tomorrow I´ll start to work in a duty free as a perfume promoter, so I was looking for english vocabulary for perfumes when I found this very instructive video. I feel much more confidant now, thanks to you!! Greetings from the Canary Islands.
I just received my RII today and,.. to put no finer point on this,.. it's SOAP, SOAP, SOAP,.. and not in a good way. It smells like your uncle's boyfriend's aunt's bathroom. It's fucking vile. Airy-fairy incense, sweat (like, sex sweat) and cheap nasty soap,... Uggh. There's nothing dark about it. I'm DEFINITELY gonna sell it.
The "sweaty" accord in the opening of Spice Must Flow is probably cumin/caraway. I hate cumin but it doesn't ruin the fragrance in this instance. Im test wearing Spice Must Flow now and lije it enough to have just bought a full bottle for a great price.
I'm here to say that if you are one of those people that wear perfume to the gym. Just don't. Please. Some of us are trying to exercise and the absolute last thing you want when sprinting on the treadmill is the perfume of the person who is a few feet away. It's super distracting, completely unnecessary and absolutely inescapable. Almost as bad as the smell of tuna salad when you are trying to exercise. So please save the perfume for other occasions.
HI! I love the original one that is so nice in these very hot days (here, in Italy) but I appreciate also the Mimosa flanker. I hope to get soon also the peach and pear ones! new follower!
There has to be far superior summer coconut scents. Has to be, because this one is really rather bad. Smells like Paris Hilton's wedding reception, not that I was there. (invitation must have got lost in the mail). I have lots of respect for Guerlain, and will just have to choose to ignore this wimpy offering.
Best review I’ve seen of this perfume! OMG! I’m so in love with this perfume! I’m going to get backups of this I love it so much! One of the most underrated perfumes! I absolutely cannot stop smelling it on my skin. It’s so different, so unique and so intoxicating. Hard to describe but you did a fabulous job describing it. The scent also transforms into a magical scent in the dry down!!
Rien Intense smells like a combination of a urinal cake, sweaty socks and unwashed genitals. Yes very unique scent. Definite head turner. Compliments abound!
THANK GOD! Somebody else who feels that way about MFK. First I couldn't even smell Baccarat Rouge. Which is normal and I felt like I was missing something. I purposely bought the oil perfumery one because it doesn't have the ambroxan in it so I figured I could at least get a hint of what others are smelling. Dude, it smelled like sugar to me. I don't like cotton candy and I don't like this. To me, I like sugar when you put it with stuff, like chocolate. Same thing going on here. Then I started smelling his other stuff. It was either boring or smelled like shit (looking at you Oud Satin Mood). I like Oud and this thing just smelled like formaldehyde dissecting animals to me! Totally agree on the La Vie Belle and these boring scents. They're like "perfume." This is a bottle of "perfume." Like, "soda." Not a brand just that thing done basically. And yes, most fragrances use synthetic notes as a lot of notes, you wouldn't even smell them if they used the real thing. I think a fragrance comes off as synthetic when the bulk of their notes are made up of those types. I hate to tell people this, but a lot of time natural and synthetic is more political vs. reality. Natural does not equal better. Like cyanide is natural, don't know that you want to use it in big quantities. Molecules don't know if they were created in a lab or in nature. Bees "manufacture" honey, doesn't mean it's not a natural process, but we consider manufacture a real industrial process. That's different. Sort of. But in the end, they're molecules. I also think labeling has a lot to do with this. 50 dollar perfume smells "synthetic" and a 400 dollar one doesn't because people perceive it that way.
Working in perfume My recommendations Would be YSL Libra intense Flowerbomb nectar Lancome via est belle SPG Scandal My way floral SI intense Givenchy L’interdit - all versions Blush/glam and supreme in Carolina Herrera Elle Saab also do some really nice fragrance Personally terry muglar Angel has really grown on me The new exilr is beautiful
i have a very sensitive nose and growing up in the 2010s i've always written perfumes of as something that just smells like headache inducing alcohol. recently i have developed quite an interest and this has been very helpful for my research in understanding this topic better, thank you :)
i hate BR540 too. thnx for being honest lol. But the OG Dior homme, that's a love but the reformed one is just boring and main DNA totally changed. the more popular though are dior homme intense(love it) and dior homme parfum(discontinued now).
rien intense incense is a masterpiece imo. The aldehydic incense somewhat reminds me of old school bold masculine fragrances. What a beast mode beauty! i understand that aldehydic compositions are not easy to like sometimes. And yes the more it goes into drydown the more beautiful it gets.
Opium has been a favorite of my mother’s since I was a kid. She’s 70. Perfume wears absolutely gorgeous on her. My kid, her father, and her other grandmother they all just wear fragrances beautifully. I get compliments but about half what they do. I don’t get it
i have a collection of womens in my collection, and one of my favorite is Paris hilton both the pink and blue bottles, why not have both, and theres nothing wrong with a man wearing womens fragrance, i wear what i want and its all that matters ❤
I like both of those and I wear them too. I also have many of the Michel Germain Sexual fragrances for men and women. All fragrances are unisex in my opinion.
