It's lovely watching young folk sewing. 50 years ago my mother tried to teach me. I was interested in reading and poetry at the time. Maybe I'll take a class now and pay attention this time.🤓

Very pretty! Are you familiar with the traditional pillow case dress? When I was a young mom (and much smaller than I am now) I made myself a pillow case shirt using the same idea. That might be a fun option to explore. It might have been a challenge to make one of the traditional pillow case items out of the pillow cases you were provided though. They're usually made with pillowcases that have the same fabric on both sides. ❤
Hello and welcome to RU-vid sew family. TFS I too love iron on interfacing but I will not use it when I am creating with a thin fabric that is light if that makes sense. I tried it and you could see the interfacing that melted in between the fabric. I was pissed because it ruined my whole top. So, that's my take on it. Very nice dress for your mom. Praying you continue to grow on here you will do well. You're a natural.
