Hello and welcome to RU-vid sew family. TFS I too love iron on interfacing but I will not use it when I am creating with a thin fabric that is light if that makes sense. I tried it and you could see the interfacing that melted in between the fabric. I was pissed because it ruined my whole top. So, that's my take on it. Very nice dress for your mom. Thank you for sharing. Please learn more sewing techniques. There are MANY good books and RU-vid tutorials on sewing. I myself taught many people how to sew.
