You call them “water vents”… we call them sand boils. wonder if there’s a difference? In the 60’s and 70’s, our parents let us swim in that lake all the time, but then again, American alligators were still on the endangered species list and seeing one was incredibly rare. Our biggest concern was water moccasins - had more than a handful swim right past me, and nobody’s parents batted an eyebrow - they’d just say “y’all be careful out there cause the snakes and stuff”. Good memories. Love your videos!
It was right out of Deliverance ... the little guy who appeared out of no where with the shotgun at the end made up my mind for me to go ski! hahahahhahaha and we were just at Lake Jocassee in SC where opening scenes for Deliverance was filmed! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes, and there are gators in most fresh water lakes in Florida. They largely stay out of the natural springs because they are too cold at 72 degrees. But they don't like jet skis or people, so generally always safe in lakes.
That is exactly what I was thinking.... and the second guy I never saw coming as he was walking along the shore out of the woods.... thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes it was! I love taking off early in the am... some of the best opportunities to get great video shots... the water was warmer than the air this morning. Thanks for watching. Bob
Hi Bob! Thanks for Another ski adventure! Your videos have opened my eyes to the beauty the state has to offer! Thanks for taking the time! We all enjoy every minute.. awesome!
Awesome, thank you! Florida has varied water terrain that is for sure... get tired of a river, go ride a beautiful chain of lakes; tired of that go the gulf or ocean... not to mention the natural springs! thanks for watching!
My wife and I love your videos Bob! Look for me live streaming from my 2022 Kawasaki Ultra 310x. Beautiful in Florida. In Ohio best place to ride is the Ohio river in Cincinnati unless I travel 2-4 hours.
Very cool from the most eclectic channel on YT! Do you hae any lake chains of there you can connect? I am originally from Fort Wayne Indiana.... thanks for watching; more to come!
@BobBroeking I love right by kings island in Landen, Ohio, so best we got close by is Caesar's Creek and East Fork state park. Unless 4 hour trip up north to the big lake.
I think either Garmin or Lowrance you cannot go wrong. The most important thing is the mapset. I wanted all water US and Canada inland and coast and the Navionics map set I got with the unit was perfect. I put the transponder that belongs in the water in my hull and it has NEVER failed me...I am a fan! See: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6kS-LNrCBM8.html
6 gallon marine tank in the useless front storage compartment of mine. I use my lithium jump pack to power a 12v transfer pump. Out of sight and my rear deck is free for something useful. I will never ride or stay on the water longer than the nearly 25 gallons will provide.
Bear Lake in Maitland is beautiful to be on with a jetski. High quality water visibility. But it’s a private lake access so have to know someone to gain access.
To the best of my abilities this is the area where the sandbar is… you probably will see other boats anchored here in a nice day. See this dropped pin in Google maps: maps.app.goo.gl/S5zJR2shYanhmPGs8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy
It is probably been asked somewhere in the comments, but is it only for jet skis , can small to medium size jet boats make it through there or is it just too small?
Thanks for watching...not sure why you say Clermont Chain is unsuitable for jet skis. I have been to all major lake chains and made videos if you have not seen. Bob
Thanks for watching; your repair guy will address the gouges as part of the application and it will be delivered back as new with the coating on it. Let me know how it goes. Bob

Looks beautiful, especially during the fall. Advantages? No Salt-Away required. Crocodile count = 0. Alligator count (approx zero, occasionally someone will release one in there “for fun”. Disadvantages? Too cold to enjoy 5 months out of the year
That’s certainly an option for many but I do not want any more weight up front… I carry a lot of gear up there many times! Thanks for watching and the suggestion. Bob.
Another great video, Bob! That lake looks beautiful! We're over here in the Myrtle Beach area and would love to do that ride. Do you have any recommendations on accommodations? Did you have any challenges with your skis overnight?
Danny Tracy and I rented an Airbnb in Seneca and kept both trailers in the drive way no problem. It is a big vacation spot and many options are available I suspect. Thanks for watching … it is a real MUST DO. Bob
What a scenic ride. Thanks for taking us along, Bob! The water was like glass. I wish Lake Ontario was that calm lol. I can't wait to see your next adventure!
Appreciate you watching and commenting…. The water was glass … doesn’t happen for me often either…. Probably almost never on Ontario! I need to get up there! Bob
Has anyone tried to use the flush port as a pass through port for the 12 gallon fuel tank? If you're going to use the 12 gallon tank occasionally then you can disconnect and plug the flush line.
I guess you could use the flush port if you really wanted to but I see several issues with it. First and most important issue is you have now opened a hole that is level with and sometimes lower than the water line. I still think the best and most direct route is under or near the back seat.
I never have been to Lake Keowee, looks amazing. We have visited Lake Jocassee, absolutely amazing for sure. Looks like you guys had a blast. Thanks for sharing Billy D
You guys look like a bunch of young guys with those rock jumps. Please be careful, always gauge depth first and never jump with your head down, Nice video again, beautiful beach also perfect for beaching with jet skis. The reason why Florida is one of my favorite holiday destinations in the spring. And Curaçao in January, because I can start the new water sports season early, while there is still snow and ice in the Netherlands. Take care Bob.
Yes and as you will see on my solo adventures, I also really like going alone… a different kind of challenge … you will see in an up coming video I finally solve a long standing puzzle 🧩 that I had not been successful at and I go solo…. Thanks for watching. Bob
This is an amazing video Bob….as are all of your vids. I want to run Rousseau this weekend but not before searching to see if you had explored it and posted a video first. I did not know this vast expanse of water had the channels you featured in the vid. Best I wait until a week day to explore it after the weekenders are back at work. BTW, did you observe alligator activity?
Thanks for watching! Stay in the marked channel … do not stray! Going on a weekday is the right decision! I have not seen a gator on the three occasions I have been there but assume there are hundreds! Ha Not a lake to swim in! 😎
I am sure they are there but this is a very sedate lake alligator wise than places we normally go..l as I told another subscriber I would swim in these lakes all day long… thanks for watching. Bob
No way.. I'm not even putting my toes in that lake. LOL. But I understand, it's what your are familiar and comfortable with. I'm out in the Gulf all the time and I know we seen sharks. I love your videos and really dig how much time spend out on the water.
