For me one thing is not clear that is, how does the agent know about the performance of the Application? as you mentioned it does it by doing Synthetic monitoring (proactively). Should the agent be told to monitor specific VLANs for example, or does it sniff all the ports? I really need to know about the technical details and security aspects of this ThousandEyes.
