Denmark Technical College President and CEO Dr. Willie Todd, Jr has dedicated his career to HBCU Advancement. Denmark Technical College is a state funded, technical college that can only recruit from 3 of the poorest counties in the state of South Carolina. Their motto of Putting The Tech back into Denmark Technical has been transformational in helping them to course correct so that students now have critical IT knowledge that is creating generational wealth. The cybersecurity program has been the crown jewel in this exciting initiative with a profound influence on the community. Dr. Todd tells a story about an inclusive, innovation-driven, collaborative commitment to cybersecurity eduction and its impact for the students of a small, underfunded, rural Historically Black College and University.
