72 isn't bad. I would try to blow it out on on the connections and inside the battery with some canned air, maybe there is dirt or obstructions. Make sure the battery is cool to the touch before and while charging. I don't have the tools to bring one back from being totally drained but I just saw this. If you still got this machine, I have a link that you can buy a motor for this machine if you have it still. Much more cheaper than buying a new one lol
Hello. Thank you for that. No matter how many times I repair something sometimes the Mrs. still wants a new one. I bought a newer model but they have issues as well. New video coming out soon.
Hi Austin. Sorry for the late reply. Sounds like you could have a bad battery there. Unfortunately, these don't last forever. You have probably already done this but remove the battery from the charger and see if the battery is hot. If so let it cool and try to charge it again. There may be something inside the vents like grass or dirt keeping good connection from being made. Try to blow out any foreign matter and try to charge again. Good luck and let me know if you got it working.

Thanks Gypsy. I really just had it off in case i needed to spray some starting fluid in the carb. It was being stubborn for the first start in a few years. Thanks for watching.
I have been trying to unscrew that top part for at least five minutes and probably a lot more. Pushing down, or not pushing down, as I did it and it seems nowhere near coming out. How long does it take for that to come out? Also, I fear the whole problem with mine not spraying or moving is because I would go out and adjust it while water was going through it just by stopping the arms and adjusting them and then let them go to let it back to sprinkling. I guess that’s a big no-no?
Hi Caleb sorry for the late response. To remove the rotor arm grab the retaining nut right at the base of the rotor arm swivel and turn the top counter clockwise as you hold the retaining nut. I keep mine very loose so the metal insert can come out as I showed but it sometimes takes a 9 mil allen wrench to take out the metal insert. I adjust mine just like you do all the time. I just reach in and stop the rotating arm with my hand. It gets me wet but it's ok. Is it not spraying at all and not moving across the yard? As far as not moving while spraying does it try to move and sort of fall back as it pushes forward? If so that could be the nylon gears are stripped and need to be replaced. If it just sits there without moving or clicking it may just be stuck in neutral. (it has 3 settings Low, Neutral and High. The settings are on the back of the motor unit on the top with the black arrow dial) If it is not spraying at all it won't move due to the gears not spinning and this would more than likely be from a clog like I had or the stop switch on the bottom is stuck. If you think that this may be the case unhook it from the hose and push the stop button in and out a few times to free it. I hope this helps you. Let me know if it is working or not.
@@whatthefox4274 Very nice. I would love to see your video of this if you have one. Mine pretty much always sounded like this so I just left it. How much better does it sound?
I've a model FH50050 Spin Scrub that was not having solution come out of the upholstery nozzle. After going through the entire machine, I found the cause was a blown time delay, slow blow T3.15 amp fuse located in the handle portion of the unit which the schematic doesn't make apparent. That fuse governs the solenoid for the nozzle function. The parts diagram shows the wiring harness as a complete unit implying it must be purchased in its entirety rather than just replacing the fuse. I opted for the fuse and it functions now as intended.
Hi Sand! Very sorry for the late response. Nice job finding the issue and not taking the BS that some parts people throw at you and getting it fixed. The only time that I had an issue with the fluid not coming out of the upholstery wand turned out to be a different issue than yours. Mine was just a clogged nozzle on the wand and taking the fluid tube loose and running a wire through the nozzle did the trick for my issue. Nice job and keep on Fixin!
Hi Pat! If you mean why did I leave the cover off at the end I wanted to have access to the carb to spray starting fluid into the choke for easier starting. It had flooded out the day before and started well that next day. I have seen people having trouble with the carb armature being too long but that wasn't the case here. Are you working on one of these? Thanks for watching.
Hi Blake. Thanks for watching. This is the carb set that I bought. Good luck and I hope this helps you. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZGBGJ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@doityadamnself8138 Also own a Poulan 42/18 the newer one. It's a fantastic saw. I've never once put ethanol fuel in it. I use 40:1 True-fuel in all my 2 strokes. And leave the fuel in my equipment during the winter months here I Pa, spring time they start every time. Great video good sir
Hi Eli. Can you send me a picture of the latch that you are talking about? I'll try to help the best I can. Sorry for the late response to this message.
@@eliglenn7644 Hi Eli. It looks like it just snaps out and what holds it in is a plastic tab. I haven't changed one of those but if you carefully pry up around the base of the release handle with a large flat head screwdriver it should pop off. Here is a link to the new part. www.ereplacementparts.com/tank-release-latchright-magnsm-gray-p-549263.html. I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
If lightly prying up on the handle doesn't work take off the top cover of the cleaner and you should be able to see the catch that holds the handle in place. You should be able to pop the catch loose and the new one should just snap into place.
if when removing the rotor it doesnt come out just by spinning the rotor a 9 mil allen wrench will easily remove the part. It should not be sinched down with the allen wrench in my opinion. Just barely hand tight.
Thanks for the vid. (And thanks to you, I have now switched to Dawn dish detergent! That's good stuff! lol) Question on the reassembly, though... When putting it back together and testing that it turns (@10:06), it won't turn. The gears do not appear to be stripped, but I cannot figure out what's going on. I have 2 of these I was trying to troubleshoot and both are the same way. Thoughts? Thanks!
Hi., Thanks for watching. The only thing that I can think of is that the gears may be binding up inside. Some things to look for are where the rotor arm assembly goes there is an allen (Hex) hole for a 9 mil allen to fit into. Loosen that up to make sure it isn't too tight. I just barely have mine hand tight. Keep it pretty loose. Another thing to look for if the wheel gears are binding. Check all the gears for anything that may be blocking or binding. Pull the wheel assembly out of the bottom and visually inspect the gears for missing teeth or anything that may be in there that shouldn't be there. Watch the derailer work and make sure that it is not getting in the way of works. Sometimes that can go over too far. Let me know if you get it going. I haven't had this issue before. Thank you again Coloradoevie.
@@doityadamnself8138 Thanks for the reply. The original issue was that the arms would rotate, but the tractor wouldn't move. So I took apart the housing to see if the gears were stripped and they were not. So I cleaned everything up and put grease back on and when I start to put it back together and test the wheels (as you show in your video at the 10:06 timestamp), the wheels wouldn't turn. Mind-boggling, but I'll keep trying and let you know if I figure it out! :) thanks again
@@coloradoevie If the gear changing derailer is in the middle it will be in neutral and the rotor will turn but it wont move. If it is in fast or slow gear the wheels wont turn by hand. Sorry if I am telling you things that you already know. Those are the only things that I could think of that would cause those issues. The wheels will only spin by hand if it is in neutral. I hope some of this helps.
It is sad to see them get devastated like that but it is wonderful to see that the roots were protected and they come back. I am happy they are making a comeback for you.
Thanks. Sorry for the delay in response. Agreed. I am working to get better equipment for improved videos. Landscape view would be much better. Thanks for watching.
