Hi Pat! If you mean why did I leave the cover off at the end I wanted to have access to the carb to spray starting fluid into the choke for easier starting. It had flooded out the day before and started well that next day. I have seen people having trouble with the carb armature being too long but that wasn't the case here. Are you working on one of these? Thanks for watching.
Thanks Gypsy. I really just had it off in case i needed to spray some starting fluid in the carb. It was being stubborn for the first start in a few years. Thanks for watching.
Hi Blake. Thanks for watching. This is the carb set that I bought. Good luck and I hope this helps you. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082ZGBGJ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@doityadamnself8138 Also own a Poulan 42/18 the newer one. It's a fantastic saw. I've never once put ethanol fuel in it. I use 40:1 True-fuel in all my 2 strokes. And leave the fuel in my equipment during the winter months here I Pa, spring time they start every time. Great video good sir
