Hello I have some comments and questions.. Question.. I am in the market soon for another mixer to create another whole set up. I want to explore the rotary mixers which have crossfaders because I use faders a LOT. I see there's an Omnitronics and Radius, so I wanted to know if there's a huge sonic quality difference and if there's something else worth considering. Which do all of you recommend that you have actually used? Ok, so when I built my first DJ recording setup, I had this beefy looking Biamp mixer and it was not good. It was too tall and it was quirky between channels, so I had to really ride the gain differences. Before then I had this Soundcraftsman which was great yet have one master EQ section, so any changes went to both 1/2 records. The folks who designed it overengineered it, and the sound was amazing. Then I found a Rane and went to DJ heaven. The REAL Rane, not the weirdness that's out now since the company was bought. It was like open box so it was affordable .It's the Rane Mojo MM8x and it's still my baby because it suits me since I play a lot of different music, and it's just comfortable to do juggles, scratches, and mix/blend. Then I run to a Mackie, the American one not the newer copes, to keep the sound flat and clean. My outboard is a Ensoniq ASR10 sampler, with has a sick efx section, and you can change settings on the fly or make custom efx chains. I use a California vintage time delay to set the room, then to a Class AB power amp chain, then to studio and floor standing 3 way speakers. Technic 1210 imports because They just work well for all music and they are reliable/predictable, so if you take care of them, they will last over 20 years. setup. Be
