First battle north sent troops with cannons to enter a empty fort on a island in a bay and aimed their cannons at ships demanding a large tax on cotton that the north passed. The South fought back with their own cannons with more than a few black officers commanding white and black troops. ( Pictures unedited proves it).Invasion,demanding taxes on a separate country. Someone threw tea into bay because of high taxes and declared independence yet they turned around years later and did the same to others!!. To clarify, the Boston Tea Party was due to low taxes. Britain reduced the taxes to thwart smugglers, who then boarded tea ships and emptied the taxed tea into the bay to enable the sale of their smuggled tea. It was not a call for independence, but later adopted as such for propaganda.
