This is an excellent introduction to the full stories of the Revolution. Bravo! But the reality is "Africa" had little to nothing to do with these Americans. No one calls James Madison's wife a "British"-American, even though her parents were British. She was American, through and through. Also, the victim narrative of the Indians is superficial and disappointing. The world was shrinking very, very quickly and a new Age was being born. The Old World was being upended and transformed on a civilization level. Though the Old World still was entrenched in many ways, such as the skin-color divisions and paranoia and forced labor, its end was near. Someone was going to "encroach" on the comparatively defenseless native populations. If it hadn't been America, it would have been Britain, France, Spain, Russia or some other entity. But the most important fact to remember is that Native Americans would have done and were attempting to do, the same things. The difference is they cared little for superficial factors such as "skin-color" when they conquered and absorbed foreign peoples and tribes.
